Eguisheim - Hagueneck Castle - Three Castles above Husseren

This is a beautiful hike starting from Eguisheim, offering stunning views over the Alsace plain. We pass by Hagueneck Castle and the Three Castles above Husseren. On the way back, a visit to the picturesque village of Eguisheim is a must, with its beautiful circular rampart street.

A magnificent hike through vineyards and forests from Eguisheim, taking in five castles overlooking the Alsace plain south of Colmar.
From the Eguisheim campsite, climb through the vineyards to the Haguenek Tower, then to Hohlansburg Castle via the Herzog Trail, passing by the Fontaine de la Dame fountain, then under the Rocher Turenne rock and the Abri de Stauffen shelter, then return via the Three Castles overlooking Husseren-les-Châteaux and the vineyards overlooking Eguisheim.
Between vineyards, meadows and forests from Turckheim to Aubure
This circuit, which mainly follows wine and forest trails, cycle paths and small mountain roads to avoid traffic, is designed for mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes. It allows you to discover some picturesque villages in the foothills, such as Turckheim, Ammerschwihr, Kientzheim, Kaysersberg, Hunawihr and Zellenberg, as well as the green Fréland valley and the steeper, forest-covered slopes of the Brézouard and Kaelblin mountains.

Katzenthal - Wineck Castle - Le Galtz - Niedermorschwihr

Circular hike starting from Katzenthal and Wineck Castle, taking us to the Galtz Monument.
Return via the Pfaffenrod Rocks, the Roggenmoser Cross, the hamlet of Hunnabuhl, Saint Wendelin Chapel and the beautiful village of Niedermorschwihr.
Two-thirds of the route is through forest and one-third through vineyards.
A steady but fairly strenuous climb to the Galtz, where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. In good weather, you can even see the Alps!

The climb to the Galtz is a little steep, but in good weather it is a beautiful viewpoint over the Alsace plain and the Black Forest.

This walk offers breathtaking views of the Alsace plain and the town of Colmar, the entrance to the Val Saint-Grégoire with the ruins of Hohlandsbourg and Pflixbourg, the small town of Turckheim and the incomparable site of Niedermorschwihr.
It is particularly recommended in autumn when the vineyards are ablaze with colour
Walk in the Stauffen and Petit Ballon mountains
Walk, mountain bike or electric mountain bike ride in the Stauffen and Petit Ballon mountains. The proposed circuit includes sections on roads, forest paths and cycle paths. There are no major difficulties, except for a short but steep climb after the Col de Marbach, which may require you to dismount, and the steady but also fairly steep climb from Boenlesgrab to Strohberg.
Galtz loop via Trois-Épis, Wineck Castle from Ammerschwihr
Departure from Ammerschwihr, a famous village in the Alsatian vineyards, crossing the Ammerschwihr golf course and climbing to the Roche du Corbeau before crossing the Trois-Épis health resort and climbing to the Galtz monument, the Alsatian Corcovado. The return to Ammerschwihr is via the Château du Wineck (near Katzenthal) and the famous Kaefferkopf grand cru vineyard.This hike offers the chance to discover varied landscapes, from high-altitude forests to grand cru vineyards, passing by magnificent viewpoints such as the Rocher du Corbeau and the Galtz, and the ruins of the old hamlet of Meywihr near Ammerschwihr, which also has a rich historical heritage.

This easy walk through the vineyards also allows you to discover pretty villages on the Alsace Wine Route and the fortified church of Hunawihr. Suitable in all seasons. In early spring, you can enjoy the almond trees in bloom. In autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful colours of the season.

From Kaysersberg to Saint Alexis

Hike through the pretty town of Kaysersberg, then into the Alsatian vineyards. The climb continues through a forest with different species of trees. The return route follows a stream that winds its way between the rocks.
From Wihr-au-Val to Tanet
A ride for mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes in the Val Saint-Grégoire to reach the Tanet massif. The circuit mainly follows cycle paths or forest tracks and allows you to discover the beauty of this site, which was once home to a ski resort.
In the forests of Hunawihr and Riquewihr

Circular hike starting from Hunawihr, passing by the ruins of Sylo Convent, the Seelacker Pass, the ruins of Reichenstein Castle and the village of Riquewihr.

A short two-hour walk, starting from the crossroads above the Saint-Alexis inn. You will walk around the Koenigsstuhl and reach the highest point via the easiest route.
Ribeauvillé castles through the vineyards and the Schluesselstein

This is a pleasant hike that will take you through vineyards and woods to the amazing Rocher du Schlüsselstein, then to the foot of the Taennchel and finally to two of the three castles of Ribeauvillé.
There are a few climbs, but overall it is an easy route.

Notre-Dame du Schauenberg

Notre-Dame du Schauenberg, a place of pilgrimage, is located at an altitude of 410 metres on the side of a hill in the Vosges mountains, between Gueberschwihr and Pfaffenheim in Upper Alsace. The site is known for its warm welcome, its peaceful setting with views over part of the Alsace plain stretching south to the foothills of the Bernese Alps, and the atmosphere of contemplation that reigns there.

Walk through the vineyards of the Vallée Noble

Discover the vineyards of the Vallée Noble, its grands crus such as Zinnkoepfle and Pfingstberg, and its wine-growing villages such as Westhalten, Soultzmatt and Orschwihr.
A circular loop around the village of Fréland

This route will take you from an ancient Roman road to the heights of Fréland. Done in good weather at the end of winter, it offers a varied and peaceful hike. Along the way, you will see the first primroses, streams and a view of the Lapoutroie valley. On the way back, it is always a pleasure to cross Fréland. A short visit to the Welche country museum and its adjoining inn will be a pleasant way to round off the walk.
From Soultzmatt to Schwarzenthann via the Col du Bannstein

The first part of this hike takes place on forest paths and the return journey is through the meadows of the Haute Vallée Noble.
The route takes you to the pilgrimage site of Schaefertal (Val du Pâtre), the mysterious site of Schwarzenthann, the meadows of Wintzfelden and the panorama of the Zinnkoepfle and the Noble Valley at Grossfels.
This hike can be shortened by almost 4 kilometres if you choose the Shepherd's Valley Chapel as your starting point.

This 12-kilometre hike will take you to the main rocks of Taennchel and the amazing Source des Corbeaux, starting from the small car park at the bottom of the Grande Verrerie.

Tour du Taennchel starting from Schelmenkopf

This is a 12-kilometre hike that takes you to most of the interesting rocks in the magical Taennchel area.
Start from the Club Vosgien chalet at Schelmenkopf, above Ribeauvillé. To get there from Ribeauvillé, take the road to Aubure, then at the hamlet of La Pépinière, turn towards Grande Verrerie. Please note that this is inaccessible in winter as the road is unpaved.
Addendum dated 17 June 2025: storms have badly damaged the unpaved road from the bottom of the Grande Verrerie to Schelmenkopf. It is only suitable for 4x4 vehicles or those that can handle rough terrain.
The Dry Meadows of Bollenberg

An easy route that will take you through the dry meadows of Bollenberg overlooking the Alsace plain, between vineyards and mountains.
The vineyard on the Rouffach side and the hills of Zinnkoepfle and Bollenberg

The route takes us to the Bollenberg hill, then winds its way through the vineyards on the Rouffach side. Beautiful views of the Alsace plain, the Black Forest and the Jura mountains. We then cross over to the other side, into the Vallée Noble vineyards, interspersed with the limestone hill of Zinnkoepfle. On the way back, we pass through the village of Westhalten.
The quarries of Buhl, the Appenthal alignments and the Childbirth Seat

An easy walk (except for a slightly steep initial climb) that passes through the beautiful and wild pink sandstone quarries of Buhl.
The pretty quarry trail continues to the famous Menhirs de l'Appenthal and its cyclopean wall.
The walk ends along the vineyards, offering a beautiful view of Hugstein Castle and passing by the strange birthing chair, which is said to have been used in ancient times for childbirth.

This hike could also be called 'Les Balcons de Buhl' (the Buhl balconies). It crosses the Buhlois vineyard, offering magnificent views of the Florival and the Grand Ballon. An additional point of interest is that the circuit crosses old abandoned red sandstone quarries in the Vosges.
