Description of the walk

Park in the small car park on Rue Roger Frémeaux.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, walk up the street on the left. At the junction with the wayside cross, keep to the right, then turn left to reach the roundabout featuring a statue of Bacchus. Take a moment to enjoy the view over the Alsace plain.

(1) Turn back until you reach the second junction. Then turn right onto Rue de Marbach and continue to a second junction, where it meets Rue des Griottes.

(2) Follow this street to the left, then head down Rue Saint-Nicolas on the left. Pass a fountain, then turn left to reach the war memorial, the church and the cemetery.

(3) Return to Rue Saint-Nicolas and head straight ahead to reach a square near the town hall and the Fontaine du Rabseppela. Walk to the right of the fountain and take the street on the right. You’ll reach a junction. Turn right onto Rue de la Source. Keep to the right all the way to the fountain with a picnic table and a view over the Alsace plain.

(4) Walk all the way down Rue de la Source. At the end of the street, turn right onto Rue du Schauenberg before turning left onto Rue du Docteur Schweitzer. Walk up this street until you reach a cross.

(5) Walk down the street, pass the junction and, at the next Fork in the road, take Rue du Hatschbourg on the left. Stay on this street until you reach the car park at the end (S/E).
