Parking available near Hagueneck Castle.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, take the path heading north marked with a red diamond until you reach the first intersection.
(1) Keep right towards the Chapelle des Bois chapel via a pleasant little path that leads to a quiet road. Descend a few hundred metres to the left to the hamlet of Sainte-Gertrude.
(2) Take the path on the right that climbs uphill and follow the red diamond markings until you reach a junction of three paths.
(3) Turn right towards the nearby Chapelle des Bois. After visiting the site, retrace your steps.
(3) At the intersection, continue straight ahead on a path that climbs slightly and arrive at the next intersection.
(4) Ignore the sign for Châteaux du Hohlandsbourg or Hagueneck on the right and take the path marked with a red cross on the left a little further up. Continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with a forest road.
(5) Descend to the left towards Hagueneck until you reach the fork in the road.
(1) Continue along the Losange Rouge path towards Hagueneck Castle. You can climb to the top of the keep for a beautiful view!
(6) After exploring the castle, take the small Losange Rouge path on the right and, a little further on at the intersection, take a sharp left onto the forest path that leads back to the car park (S/E).
