Start from the car park at Kaysersberg football stadium, Rue du Geisbourg.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, take the cycle path on the left and follow the River Weiss on your right. Take Rue de Flieh to reach the historic centre, and cross it via Rue des Forgerons, then Rue du Général de Gaulle.
(1) At the town hall, take the street on the left, cross the Place de la Mairie, leave the village and join the cycle path that runs along the mountainside, through the vineyards.
(2) At the entrance to Kientzheim, take Rue des Remparts on the left. Continue along Rue de la Légion Étrangère until you reach Place du11e R.C.A.
(3) Pass the war memorial and take the road that climbs to the left through the vineyards. Climb up to the village of Riquewihr and continue straight on until you reach a four-way junction.
(4) Turn left onto the uphill road (Avenue de Méquillet) which goes round the village on the mountain side. At the car park, keep left, then right, onto Chemin de la Forêt.
(5) At the rest area, take the small bridge on the right, then turn left and join the Grand’Rue in Hunawihr.
(6) First turn left then right, and follow Rue du Nord, then left onto Rue Roger Kuhlman. Follow the cycle path straight on to Ribeauvillé. Ride downhill through the village, then, at the bottom, turn left and head for Place de la République.
(7) Continue along Route de Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, then take the D416 towards Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. Pass the double hairpin bend and, 200 m further on, join theD11V on the left.
(8) Follow this road towards Aubure and head for the roundabout opposite the town hall and near the village church.
(9) Take the2nd exit, theD11III, towards Fréland.
(10) Pass the Col de Fréland, continue on theD11III and drive through Fréland.
(11) At the three-way junction, continue straight on theD11III to the hamlet of Gare de Fréland, on the banks of the Weiss.
(12) Ignore the bridge on the right and take the small road opposite, between the mountain and the river. In Kaysersberg, follow the industrial estate on your right, then take the cycle path on the right, which goes round the municipal swimming pool, and head for the football stadium car park (S/E).
