Géovino wine trail in Riquewihr: The rocks

Departure: totem pole at Place Fernand Zeyer.

Riquewihr Poste bus stop (from Colmar station, line R016).

(S/E) From the square, with the town hall on your left, turn right, then immediately left to reach the AOR restaurant along the pond. Turn left and then immediately right towards the stairs. Turn right, then reach a path. Follow this path up to the information panel (Borne P01), which asks the question: why are the hillsides of the Ribeauvillé region so special?

(1) Turn left and reach the second marker (P02), which explains how rocks transform the soil.

(2) Continue along the path to the sign, which tells the story of Riquewihr.

(3) Continue along the path, still facing forward, to stop at the third marker, which discusses the geological features of the Ribeauvillé vineyards.

(4) Keep going straight ahead, then turn left twice to go down Rue du 5 Décembre. Go to the end and you will come out onto Avenue Méquillet.

(5) Take this avenue on the left to pass under the Porte Haute. Then continue straight ahead to the starting point (S/E).

Bus: arrive by bus from Colmar on line R016, Riquewihr Poste stop.

Car: paid parking at Le Vignoble, 20 m from the starting point.
