Departure from the church car park.
(S/E) From the car park, walk to Place de la Mairie and turn right. A few metres further on, at the fountain, take Rue du Schauenberg on the right, marked with a blue cross. At the first crossroads, go straight on along the path between the oratory and the calvary.
(1) Continue along this concrete path until you enter the forest. Continue and at the first junction of two forest roads, turn left. Pass the Way of the Cross and then the Mount of Olives and you will arrive in front of the Chapel of Our Lady of Schauenberg.
Go around the chapel on the right, then wind your way between the chapel and the buildings behind it.
(2) About a hundred metres further on, take the small path that climbs to the left. Now follow the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle trail, marked with red diamond signs. Climb a little.
(3) At the first crossroads, turn right to climb up to the Table des Druides.
(4) Retrace your steps.
(3) At the previous junction, take the path to the right. Walk for about 2.5 km.
(5) A few hundred metres after passing the bench offering a view of the plain, descend via the path on the left.
(6) At the crossroads, turn left and then, facing the three-way junction, turn right. Continue, leave the forest and reach the vineyards. Ignore the first crossroads and arrive at a second one.
(7) Turn left, then immediately right and continue straight ahead until you reach the path you took on the way there.
(1) Descend to the right (marked with a blue cross) to return to Pfaffenheim. Reach the village and then the church car park (S/E).
