On this circuit around the village of Ottenhöffen, you will see five mills, a water-powered forge and... numerous self-service schnapps fountains (Schnappsbrunnen). You are asked to pay for what you consume by putting your money in the box provided. Various non-alcoholic drinks are also available.The route passes through low mountain meadows and forests.

One of the most beautiful hiking trails in the entire region is the Wutach Gorge (Wutachschlucht), nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of the Black Forest". These are wild gorges, followed by footbridges, steps and paths carved into the rock, with a stream that is sometimes calm, sometimes cascading, and lush vegetation. PLEASE NOTE: the road is currently closed for the return journey to Schattenmühle. Continue along the Lotenbach gorge for about 1.5 km until you reach the B315 road, where you will find the bus stop.

Schluchsee is known for its lake and attracts many tourists, especially in summer. There are many hiking trails close to the lake. The Jägersteig (based on an old hunters' trail) alternates between paths along the lake and climbs into the surrounding forest overlooking the lake. There are several panoramic viewpoints along this route.

The vast renaturation project on the Rhine Island, which began in 2013, is nearing completion. A new river, the Little Rhine, has appeared between the Grand Canal and the Old Rhine. The land and water around it has been completely transformed, allowing many plant and animal species to return or remain. This walk takes place in a rapidly changing natural environment, where everything is set to change for the greater benefit of biodiversity.

Cross beautiful pastures leading to the Gerstenhalm Pass and then on to Eduardshöhe for remarkable views of Horben before a short stop at the Giesshübel inn and its panoramic terrace. Return to St Ulrich, first along the ridges with views of the Belchen, then through the forest via the Kohlerhof inn.

Hike to the highest peak in the northern Black Forest, the Hornisgrinde (1,164 m), which you climb twice, first from the south and then from the north. Superb panoramic view of the Rhine plain. You pass the TV transmitter with its impressive 206 m high transmission tower. The route then passes through Ochsenstall, from where you reach the Unterstmatt ski resort. You return via another climb up the Hornisgrinde, then cross the peat bogs before passing the Dreifürstenstein.

This loop will take you from Triberg (Baden-Württemberg) which, as well as being a major cuckoo factory, is also famous for its waterfall, the highest in Germany. A hike for everyone. The route is in two parts: The long 9 km loop takes you through forests and mountain meadows to discover some magnificent scenery. The shorter 2.3 km loop takes you to the waterfall, which unfortunately is very popular with tourists, so there is a charge for admission (€8).

In 1805, Napoleon and Francis I of Austria imposed the border on the Rhine. Rheinfelden then became Rheinfelden Baden, a German industrial town, and Rheinfelden Argovie, a Swiss spa town.The route runs along the German bank, which is equipped with viewing platforms and benches, to the hydroelectric dam and then along the more wooded Swiss bank. Return via the historic town and its old bridge, the Altebrücke.

A varied circular hike through the Edelfrauengrab waterfalls and over the Karlsruhe ridge with beautiful views of the Achertal valley and the Rhine valley.

Discover the southern tip of the Black Forest, with the hill overlooking the beginning of the Alsace plain to the west, the town of Lörrach and Germany to the east, and the city of Basel and Switzerland to the south. You can also visit the magnificent Burg Rötteln, a 14th-century fortified castle, the most south-westerly in Germany.

A pleasant short hike along the gorges, which are home to a series of waterfalls. The hike can be done in either direction of the circular route.The direction of the circular loop shown is the ascent of the gorges and waterfalls. The path consists of steps to make the ascent easier. Once you arrive in the hamlet of Allerheiligen, you will find amenities and places to eat.The ruins of an ancient abbey are open to visitors. The return journey is along a forest road.There is a dedicated car park at the start/finish point. Please note that this hike can be very popular and can get quite crowded, both in the car park and along the route.

A very beautiful short hike through vineyards and orchards with breathtaking views of the Alps, the Jura, the city of Basel, the Alsatian villages of Sundgau, the Rhine Valley and Kembs just opposite on the way there, and the Black Forest and Blauen on the way back. In the first half of the route, follow the Wiiwegli (wine trail) markings, red diamond with a yellow bunch of grapes, towards Blansingen. The markings are present at each fork. However, you will need to be vigilant at the start of the route and look out for the markings so as not to give in to the temptation to continue straight ahead on a more visible path. Our path branches off twice to the right between the orchards and then twice with a left-right turn on grassy paths.

A panoramic tour in the Markgräflerland region from Britzingen to the Neuenfels ruins. Along the way, we enjoy great views of the Black Forest and as far as the Vosges mountains.

A Way of the Cross, a golf course, a chapel, viewpoints, a village and a campsite are all on offer along this well-marked trail. We will walk along the Wiiwegli (red diamond with a yellow bunch of grapes) and the Way of St James (yellow shell on a blue background), following a Way of the Cross (Stationenweg) on the way there. At the Maria Hügel pilgrimage chapel, we will stop to admire the view over the Rhine plain and the Vosges mountains. There are numerous benches and a staircase leads to a shelter and picnic tables. The return journey will be along a marked local path. The hike passes through the charming village of Bamlach and its campsite.

On the agenda: a panoramic view, the highest point in the canton of Basel-Stadt, the tallest tower in Switzerland, an evangelical mission, a restaurant, the countryside and peace and quiet near the city. We first descend through forests and fields before climbing back up to the charming district of Bettingen Saint-Chrischona at an altitude of 522 m. Numerous paths invite us to stroll and discover this relaxing place.

The entire route is open country through vineyards with beautiful views of Basel, the Jura, Alsace, the Vosges and the Piedmont hills of the Black Forest. The outward journey is mostly along the Wiiwegli (wine trail), while the return journey is mostly along a local trail marked with yellow diamond signs.

This hike crosses the vineyards between Hartberg and Hummelberg, passes along the ridge between the vineyards and the plain, runs alongside the Läufelberg and Reckholder hills, goes around Fischingen and finally ends at the Fünfschilling inn. Beautiful views of Alsace, the Vosges, the Jura and the Black Forest along the route.

The landscapes are very varied as you walk along the Rhine and then the Kander, passing through Eimeldingen. They are urban but also bucolic: the village of Märkt, the bridge over the A5 motorway, the gravel pit, the path along the Rhine, the mouth of the Kander, the path along the Kander with two small bridges, the fish pass and the forest.

On this walk, you will discover historic sites around Badenweiler while enjoying breathtaking views over the vineyards and toward France. On the return journey, you will engage your senses and experience the landscape in a more playful way. The route leads you through woodlands, farmland, and vineyards, offering stunning scenery throughout.

Starting from Hinterzarten, this hiking route offers beautiful views. The trail first winds through pine and beech forests, in a peaceful and shady atmosphere, before reaching the shores of Lake Titisee. The circular route takes you around the lake, alternating between wooded passages and paved paths, with opportunities to take a break by the water's edge and enjoy beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

This is an easy hike, best avoided in hot weather. The route passes through the many orchards around Sasbach, then the vineyards near Leiselheim and the giant chair (Stuhl) that marks a vineyard cru. The path mostly follows the yellow diamond markers.
