Access via the L87 road between Achern and Kappelrodeck; take the exit towards Waldulm. In Waldulm, park in the car park next to the sports fields on the left-hand side of the main road from Achern to Oberkirch.
(S/E) Return to the road and turn left. At the next junction, take the street furthest to the right towards the church. Walk past the church and up Kirchweg, keeping the church and then the cemetery on your left. At the top of the hill, turn left towards Ringelbacher Kreuz. The path runs alongside the forest and becomes tarmac.
(1) Ignore the two paths on the right and take the one heading due south. Cross the vineyards to reach the Langhalde crossroads (the name is written at the top of the signposts but in small letters).
(2) Turn right towards Fatima Kapelle and Oberkirch. From here to Fatima Kapelle, the route is marked by a diamond-shaped sign bearing the name Ortenauer Weinpfad. Continue to the Waldköpfelhütte shelter.
(3) Keep left heading due south on the Ortenauer Weinpfad, then south-west. Reach the Tiergartner Höhe junction.
(4) Go straight on. You will reach the Fatima Chapel.
Walk back a few metres and take the path leading down to the left towards the village of Tiergarten, following the Yellow Diamond markings. Turn left at the junction. Walk down to the village.
(5) Walk past the church and turn right towards the village of Haslach. Walk through Haslach.
(6) Turn right towards Waldköpfelhütte, along Hilsenstrasse. Pass the playground and continue straight on through the forest. Follow this path, known as the Hufeisenweg. After a sharp bend to the left, you’ll reach a crossroads.
(7) Turn right to reach the Waldköpfelhütte junction.
(3) Follow the route you took on the way there to return to the car park on Pfarrberg Street (S/E).
