Parking is available in front of the Haslach fire station.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn right towards Tiergarten. Walk through the village until you reach the crossroads with the signposts on the left.
(1) Turn right and head towards the church. At the stop sign, turn left and walk past the church (on your right) along Schlossweg. This path leads to the site of the ancient ruins of Ullenburg. Go around them on the right, continue after a short steep climb to thesecond crossroads.
(2) Follow the path on the right at the edge of the forest, then before entering the forest, take the path on the right again to reach a beautiful viewpoint.
(3) Turn left and walk along the Ortenau Wine Route to the Fatima Chapel, then continue via the Tiergärtnerhöhe to a junction with a gravel path leading into the forest.
(4) Take this path and, atthe first junction in the forest, continue straight ahead. Then keep left, ignoring the path that branches off to the right, and continue straight ahead at the next junction to reach the Waldköpfelhütte hut via a gentle slope.
(5) Follow the path on the right (Ulmer Panoramaweg) eastwards to the crossroads about 350 m further on. The path continues to the left to the edge of the forest. Ignore the paths that branch off to the right and left and stay on the wide path. You will come to the vineyards and the Käsreut rest area.
(6) Follow the path on the left through the vineyards. Pass beautiful spots where you can stop for a picnic. Continue north until you reach a Y-junction.
(7) Follow the path on the left towards the legendary Kutzenstein rock formation. This gravel path leads you slightly downhill through the forest to the statue of St. Francis and the Bildstöckel-Platz.
(8) On your left, opposite Bildstöckel-Platz, a narrow path descends and, after about 400 metres, arrives at a crossroads.
(9) Turn left, then after a few metres, follow the path on the right which continues downhill to join a road further down, just after the junction with a path coming from the left.
(10) Cross the road carefully and follow it for a few dozen metres until you reach a bridge, near which there is a beautiful picnic area with children's playground.
(11) Cross the bridge, turn left onto the wide path for about 20 to 30 metres, then follow the fairly steep path that climbs up to the right between the trees (Ulmer Panoramaweg - yellow diamond markings) and leads you to Kusseich.
(12) Turn left and continue walking along the edge of the forest. Join the tarmac road along the vineyards and continue to the next four-way crossroads.
(13) Take thesecond path on the right. After the first right-hand bend, take the path on the left which climbs a short distance but quite steeply up to Sommerbueckel.
(14) Follow the path on the right that runs alongside the vineyards, keep right at the edge of the forest until you reach the Hafelochköpflehütte, where you will have a magnificent view. In front of the hut, follow the tarmac road and descend into the vineyards following the "Haslach Runde 2". When you see the houses, the road joins another road coming from the right. Continue to the left, then after the right-hand bend, you will arrive at the crossroads in Hanfbind via Haslacher Strasse.
(15) Turn left and pass through the village of Haslach. Pass the "Weinhotel Pflugwirts" and continue on the right, still on Haslacher Strasse, until you reach the crossroads near the town hall.
(16) Turn left onto Hilsenstrasse. In the left-hand bend, turn right onto Maienstrasse and return to the Haslach fire station (S/E).
