The starting point is at the waterfall car park (Allerheilgen Wasserfall) on Lierbachtalweg, coming from Oppenau.
(S/E) Head towards the entrance to the site, which is impossible to miss.
(1) Follow the "Wasserfallweg" trail that leads to the foot of the waterfall. The route is clearly marked and there are no alternatives.
Climb up the waterfall via the marked path; steps and guardrails make the climb much easier.
(2) Once at the top, continue along the path to the entrance to the village. You can take a small path branching off to the right, which climbs up and then rejoins the original path.
(3) Stay on the main path and pass the inns on your right. Enjoy the typical Black Forest scenery and discover the ruins of the old convent. You will pass by again on your return.
(4) Above the ruins, take the path on the left that climbs up to a chapel overlooking the village.
Continue along the only path that leads away from the chapel on its right.
(5) Continue along this path until you reach a car park on your right. Continue straight ahead until you reach the road.
(6) Go through the gate and cross to the other side to follow the road to the left. Stay on the right-hand side of the road. Continue until you reach an intersection with a forest path that climbs steeply to the right.
(7) Turn right onto this path. Follow this path without straying from it until you reach the road again.
(8) Cross the road and continue on the same path in front of you. Stay on Schwabenweg until the next intersection, where you will turn right. Continue on the same path until you reach a car park. Cross the road to reach this car park and walk up it to the left.
(9) You will see a path that climbs to the right and overlooks the road. Take this path and continue on Vogelkopfstrasse (hiking trail).
Continue along this path for about 2 km until you reach a right-hand bend. Continue for another kilometre or so until you reach a hairpin bend.
(10) Do not continue straight ahead, but take the path on the right that leads back. Stay on this path for several kilometres, following the signposts. The direction to follow is "Schliffkopf".
On your way, you will pass the "Melkereikopf" and the "Schweinkopf" while you are on the "1000 Meter Weg".
(11) Do not head towards the "Schweinkopf" but continue towards the "Schliffkopf" (south-east).
After about 2 km, you will arrive at Schliffkopf. On a clear day, the view is breathtaking. If the temperature is not too low, this is a good place to stop for lunch, as you are about 12 km into the nearly 18 km hike.
(12) Continue on your way. At Schliffkopf, there is an orientation table; when you get there, continue on the path straight ahead opposite the one you arrived on.
(13) At the fork, do not turn right onto the 1000 Meter Weg but turn left. Shortly afterwards, turn right onto the "Renchtalsteig" path, which quickly enters the woods and descends towards Allerheiligen. Continue along this path to the village; there are few alternatives. Simply follow the signs towards Allerheiligen.
(14) You will arrive at the old convent, which you can cross to reach the main road that runs through the village. Walk down through the village.
(3) Once you reach the intersection with hiking signs and public toilets, do not take the path you came up on, but take the path on the right that climbs slightly and runs alongside a large building. Follow this path straight ahead along the safety barriers.
(15) You can enjoy an impressive view of the hillsides. Continue along this path (Renchtalsteig) down through the woods. The markings are difficult to find in places, but there is no real alternative.
(16) Turn left to return to the car park (S/E).

, while enjoying the beautiful views (and comfortable benches to sit on!)
