(S/E) Start from Sankt-Märgen, past the Hotel Hirschen: a little further on, there is a small car park along the last houses on LandfeldWeg on the right.
The route is very well signposted with a Yellow Diamond. Head north-east and follow the signs for Zweribach Wasserfälle.
(1) Walk past the RankMülhe and continue straight on until you reach a Fork in the road.
(2) Turn left onto the Hauptweg, which winds through the forest and leads to another Fork in the road.
(3) Take the left-hand fork, go straight on at the next junction and continue to the start of the small waterfall trail.
(4) Turn right and head for the first waterfall, the Hirschbach Wasserfall.
(5) Continue along the path, passing a track on your right, until you reach the second waterfall, the Zweribach Wasserfälle. Please note that this section becomes narrow and can be slippery, particularly on the rocks.
(6) At this point, do not cross the bridge but head back up the same side of the Zweribach, continuing to follow the Yellow Diamond markings to reach the ridge. This is a section with a steep climb – you’ll ascend about 200 metres over one kilometre – so adjust your pace accordingly.
(7) You must now follow the yellow and light blue diamond markers towards Sankt-Märgen, taking the path on the left. Keep left at the first junction, then go straight on at the next one to reach a Fork in the road.
(8) Turn left at the fork.
(9) About a hundred metres further on, there’s a lovely little spot with shelters where you can take a short break if needed. Keep going straight on.
(10) At the junction, you’ll join a path leading to Santiago de Compostela. Continue to the left until you reach the KapfenKapelle.
(11) Go straight on, turn left at the next junction, then turn right about a hundred metres further on. The path enters the forest and then runs alongside it, heading south-west.
(12) Turn left, following the Yellow Diamond markings, and keep to the right at the next two junctions. The path heads south and rejoins the outbound route.
Follow this route to the right until you reach the starting point (S/E).

) but there are plenty of other restaurants and opportunities that we didn't try.
