Around Bollschweil
A lovely circular route around the small village of Bollschweil, alternating between wide forest tracks and narrow paths. At times you’ll be walking through sheltered woodland, at others enjoying sweeping views along meadow paths.
Circular Giesshübel starting from Sankt Ulrich
Cross beautiful pastures leading to the Gerstenhalm Pass and then on to Eduardshöhe for remarkable views of Horben before a short stop at the Giesshübel inn and its panoramic terrace. Return to St Ulrich, first along the ridges with views of the Belchen, then through the forest via the Kohlerhof inn.

A lovely little walk with a must-see stop at the castle ruins overlooking Staufen.

Gschwendle–Heinehof–St. Ulrich–Winterberg–Talweg
The marked circular hiking trail (yellow diamond) runs alongside the St. Ulrich Circular Trail (yellow diamond and town coat of arms) from the Berglusthaus in a south-westerly direction through a charming meadow landscape, offering magnificent views of Geiersnest and the Upper Rhine Plain. Along the way, terraced steps and stone walls at the edge of the forest can be seen, indicating former agricultural use.It is also worth taking a look back at the beautifully situated Berglusthaus and the impressive landscape around the Hohbühl. Further downhill, the route alternates between woodland and grassland. From a crossroads at the edge of the forest, we enjoy another view of the meadows and scattered farmsteads of Geiersnest, before the stony path winds its way into the dense forest.
St. Ulrich circular walk from Berglusthaus
The 8 km circular trail was inaugurated in 2013 and leads to the most beautiful vantage points in St. Ulrich.It also offers an insight into the mountainous landscape, characterised by scattered farmsteads, with an impressive alternation of wide open grasslands and multi-layered forests. Furthermore, there are various places to stop for refreshments and rest areas along the trail.
The St. Ulrich Circular Trail actually begins in the village centre at the signpost “St. Ulrich Rössle” (571 m). However, we join the route at the Berglusthaus and return here as well.

Waldsee and Kybfelsen from Freiburg-im-Breisgau
This hike combines sightseeing in the city of Freiburg im Breisgau with forest trails in the hills above the city, offering beautiful panoramic views.It starts at an altitude of 270 m and climbs to 800 m at the Kybfelsen Pass before descending back into the city and then to the car park on the outskirts of Merzhausen.It is suitable for experienced walkers, presenting no particular difficulty, with well-maintained and generally straight paths.

This is a great circular walk ground through the famous black forest where you will find great views of the German and French valleys.
From the centre of Freiburg up to the Schauinsland
Freiburg im Breisgau, a university town in south-west Germany, is known for its mild climate and its historic old town. The town lies on the edge of the Black Forest and, with its narrow streets, the typical ‘Bächle’ water channels and the Gothic cathedral, offers a blend of tradition and modernity. A particular highlight is the nearby Schauinsland, which rises to a height of 1,284 metres.
From Münsterplatz to the Schlossberg
Your tour starts at Freiburg Cathedral. Freiburg im Breisgau is known for its old town, the impressive cathedral and its proximity to the Black Forest. A particular highlight is the Schlossberg, a wooded hill rising behind the old town. From there, you can enjoy a wonderful view over Freiburg and the Rhine Valley. The Schlossberg is a popular destination with various hiking trails and the historic remains of an old 17th-century fortress.
Notschreipass - Titisee
This fourth stage will take you from Notschreipass to Titisee. The route follows the Westweg Schwartzwald. The highest point of the day is Feldberq, the highest peak in the Black Forest. You will enjoy panoramic views as far as Mont Blanc. In the evening, you can enjoy a walk along the lake in the pleasant spa resort of Titisee.
Round trip from Britzingen to the Neuenfels ruins
A panoramic tour in the Markgräflerland region from Britzingen to the Neuenfels ruins. Along the way, we enjoy great views of the Black Forest and as far as the Vosges mountains.
Haldenhof - Notschreipass
This third stage will take you from the Auberge d'Haldenhof to Notschreipass. The route follows the Westweg Schwartzwald. The highest point of the day is at Belchen, which offers a panoramic view. On a clear day, you can see the Alps from Austria to Mont Blanc.
Nonnenmattweiher Lake
This short and easy walk is ideal for a warm day as you walk around a nice lake where you can swim and have a snack. It is also a great spot to observe some wildlife early morning or at sunset. Keep it mind this is a popular area so it might be really busy when the sun is shining.
Neuenweg to Belchen circular route
A route to explore the Belchen (the second-highest peak in the Black Forest), accessible only on foot. Those less adventurous can take a cable car or cycle along a road closed to motor vehicles, starting from Aitern.
A magnificent landscape with superb views, featuring patches of scrub and fir trees that have made this forest famous. Depending on the season, you can enjoy wild berries (blueberries, wild strawberries, wild raspberries and blackberries) along this route.
Discovering Badenweiler
Visit the Sensory Park and the centre of Badenweiler, featuring the Swan Lake, the ruins of the Roman baths, the Kurhaus, the ruins of Baden Castle, the view of the Vosges, the castle grounds and the town centre with its shops. The walk is short, allowing you to try out the facilities in the Park of the Senses, discover the remarkable trees and gardens, statues, pavilions and viewpoints in the Spa Park, stroll through the town’s streets, take a ‘coffee and cake’ break at one of the many cafés and terraces, sit for a moment at the Vogesenblick and simply take in the view.
Historical sites and vineyard around Badenweiler
On this walk, you will discover historic sites around Badenweiler while enjoying breathtaking views over the vineyards and toward France. On the return journey, you will engage your senses and experience the landscape in a more playful way. The route leads you through woodlands, farmland, and vineyards, offering stunning scenery throughout.
Hochblauen from Marzell

After passing through the superb Eichwald forest near Mullheim, discover the small hamlet of Rheintal, cross through and enjoy the landscapes around Lipburg with beautiful views of the Blauen, then return to Eichwald.
