Park in the free car park outside the village of Oberrotweil.
(S/E) At the car park exit, follow the red diamond on a yellow background signs towards Katharinenkapelle. You will reach a small car park on the edge of Mondhalde Helbling road.
(1) Cross it and take the path next to the dry toilets. Continue uphill and then, after a short descent, you will reach a road.
(2) Cross it, pass the car park, and arrive at the foot of the Staffelberg.
(3) Continue along this path to quickly reach the Staffelberg Hut (Staffelberg-Hutte).
(4) Continue along a relatively flat stretch, take the path called Querweg Schwarzwald to reach a multiple crossroads further on.
(5) Take the path opposite, pass close to the Katharinnenberg Chapel and reach a new track. Cross it and continue south on the Linsengrube Katharinberg path. Leaving the chapel, head towards Bahlinger Eck. Reach a road.
(6) Cross it and take the forest path opposite. Continue on to the Robert Meier Hut (Robert Meier Hutte) and its picnic area.
(7) Continue south-west. Pass the viewpoint called Panoramakarte Alt-Vogtsburg to reach a road near Vogelsand Pass. Follow the road to the left, then join it.
(8) Cross over and quickly turn right onto the uphill path to reach a multi-directional crossroads.
(9) Turn left. Stay on the path going uphill into the forest, which is the Herrenweg - Gagenhartwald. You will reach the Totenkopf Tower and its picnic area.
(10) Descend via the path on the left to reach the Dachsbuck - Adlerhorstatel trail junction.
(11) Take it on the right and you will soon come to a crossroads with several tracks and paths.
(12) Take the path downhill to the left and continue downhill until you reach a crossroads with a road.
(13) Take the road on the left, then turn right at the next bend to reach the junction with a grassy path.
(14) Take this path on the left, then reach the Krummer Graben trail. Turn left onto it.
(15) Turn right at a 90° angle and head towards the entrance to Oberrotweil.
(16) Cross the village to return to the car park (S/E) at the edge of the Mondhalde Helbling path.
