This circular route starts from the wine-growing village of Oberbergen. The first section is an ascent to the Totenkopf. The views over the Rhine plain and the Vosges are magnificent. The route then follows a ridge, passing via the Eichelspitze to St Catherine’s Chapel, which is the highlight of the walk. There are plenty of benches where you can sit and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. The final section takes you through the vineyards.
