Earth for raw materials (clay and ore), water to wash and moisten them and to generate energy, air to dry the moulded clay, and fire for firing. This walk offers you the chance, amongst other things, to discover some remnants of this past.

Known for its poultry market (notably the ‘Noires du Berry’ hens), the village of Saint-Août is a pleasant little town in the Boischaut-Sud region of the Indre. This walk allows you to explore its surroundings, its market hall and its pond.

This pleasant walk takes you around the area near Lignac, as well as the beautiful castle and the picturesque village of Château Guillaume, which owes its name to William IX, father of Eleanor of Aquitaine, who built it in the late12th century.

This walk allows you to explore the surroundings of Faverolles-en-Berry, a town on the northern border of the Indre department, and its heritage, such as its church, the troglodyte dwellings and cellars, as well as the ‘cliffs’ and tuffeau quarries.

During the summer of 1878, a rabid wolf spread terror in Mosnay, claiming several human victims and causing the loss of livestock. Today, this walking trail and several wolf statues recount this story.

This walk initially winds its way through the Aigurand countryside along magnificent paths through woodland or flanked by hedgerows. Footbridges cross the meandering Vauvre. The return journey then follows the old railway line, which has been converted into a greenway.
