During this walk, the route gradually enters wooded areas after passing the English Cemetery, where nature offers a little respite from the built-up areas. The Seine, the Buttes du Parisis National Forest, Cormeilles Fort.

A hike from station to station in two stages. In the first stage, you stay at a higher elevation and enjoy beautiful views of the Seine and its valley. In the second stage, you stay closer to the river. The beautiful Saint-Martin Church in Herblay and the important river transport industry in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine add to the charm of this hike.

A walk that allows you to discover the banks of the Seine at the pace of the barges, first along the water's edge, then from a higher vantage point. You can also discover a rich heritage, such as the royal quarries, the Moorish house of painter and photographer Victor Madeleine (1855-1931) and the River Transport Museum.

A former royal hunting ground, the Forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye has wide, long avenues. There are also paths winding through the undergrowth, which this hike invites you to discover. The route is mainly through the forest, with a variety of tree species and a short stretch along the edge of a pond.

A trail very well maintained by the ONF for discovering different tree species! A short, easy route with excellent signposting and numerous information boards. Ideal for children (and grown-ups) keen to learn more about life in our forests.

This circuit connects some notable points in the northern part of the Saint Germain forest: a riding school and former theatre, a hunting lodge, a pond, a former shooting range and a 10-pointed star (crossroads). There are no particular difficulties, except for watching out for horse riders, who are numerous at weekends (horses have right of way).

This route to the north of the Forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and near Conflans-Sainte-Honorine takes you to the Étang du Corra, a pond with rich biodiversity that is a popular spot for birdwatching. The Pavillon de la Muette is a neoclassical hunting lodge built at the request of Louis XV.

The Cergy-Neuville Leisure Centre is located in a loop of the Oise River. The hike crosses the centre, giving you an idea of the variety of activities on offer there. It continues along the slopes of the right bank of the river, offering beautiful views of the entire meander. The passage through Port-Cergy, as well as several heritage sites (churches, wash houses, covered walkways, etc.), adds to the interest of the walk.

A pleasant circuit entirely through the woods in the Saint-Germain-en-Laye National Forest. Enjoyable in all seasons except when it rains. Beautiful oak and beech forests, a discovery trail, and a small pond (the duck pond) halfway along the route. No particular difficulty, except for paying attention to the frequent changes in direction. Be careful in autumn and winter, as some paths are difficult to see under the leaves. A circular route in the Montmorency Forest starting from Saint-Leu-la-Forêt station. You will pass by the remarkable sites in the southern part of the forest, including the three main ponds. The urban section follows the paths of Saint-Leu as much as possible.

A walk through some woodland, passing through Saint-Leu, Montlignon, Montmorency, Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt and, finally, Écouen. A station-to-station walk, which can also be done as a slightly shorter loop. The route is mainly woodland, using both signposted paths and little-travelled paths in the undergrowth. The Étang du Corra, a protected site, offers an interlude with beautiful views and the chance to spot many birds.

A circular starting from Maurecourt cemetery, passing through the Berthe Morisot trail, the Château du Fay, the Écancourt farm, the Bois de Jouy and returning to Maurecourt along the old railway line.

A lovely, flat route to enjoy at a leisurely pace along the banks of the Oise, with a section high up behind the Pays de Maurecourt offering magnificent views of the Oise. This region is even more beautiful when viewed from the footpaths.

A route through the Montmorency National Forest, with a variety of tree species. You will pass the small Étang Godard at the start of the hike and the Étang de la Chasse halfway through. The Château de la Chasse, near the lake of the same name, offers a superb touch of heritage!

Narrow paths, steep trails. Explore the picturesque paths and trails of the town of Andrésy. It's a different way to discover the charm of Andrésy, between town, countryside and the banks of the Seine.

A walk from station to station, following the river. After skirting the Oise to Port Cergy, the route joins the Île de Loisirs de Cergy, then takes the Axe Majeur to reach the old Pontoise–Poissy railway line. After the confluence, it follows the Seine along the quays of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, following part of the discovery trail, before reaching the station.

Along the way, you will discover the Jouy-le-Moutier municipal park known as "Parc Raclet", the Rue des Blanchards and its curiosities, the old railway line that linked Pontoise to Poissy, the Axe Majeur, Gérard Philippe's house and the Cergy ponds leisure centre.

This hike passes through the villages of Auvers-sur-Oise, Valmondois and Butry-sur-Oise, alternating between countryside and the banks of the Oise. All these places have provided numerous subjects for landscape painters, notably Dupré, Daubigny and Pissarro, precursors of the Impressionists. Even today, visitors are struck by the charm of this region in all seasons.

Walk in the footsteps of Van Gogh, Daubigny and Corot to discover the agricultural plateau. You will discover the places frequented by many painters and stroll through the charming streets of Auvers-sur-Oise. The landscape inspired the Impressionists and Expressionists.

The route follows the Avenue Verte (Paris-London cycle route) from Jouy-le-Moutier to Vauréal. After crossing the Oise at the major axis, it returns via the Cergy ponds and the towpath to the Pont de Neuville bridge.

In 1971, the Grateful Dead were unable to perform their concert due to rain in Auvers-sur-Oise. Michel Magne, the brilliant and whimsical musician, invited them to Hérouville Castle. So get your playlist ready, featuring film scores or experimental music by Michel Magne, composer of, amongst others, *Les Tontons Flingueurs*, *Fantomas*, *Tout le monde il est beau* and *Tout le monde il est gentil*. You’ll also find tracks recorded at this venue, described by David Bowie to Iggy Pop as the world’s greatest recording studio at the time. It saw the creation of three of Elton John’s best albums, two Bowie albums, the Bee Gees’ massive hit Saturday Night Fever, as well as albums by Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Higelin and many others – all on their way to the Château d’Hérouville. A circular route between plains and woods, around Auvers-sur-Oise.

This circular walk takes you on a journey of discovery through the four vineyards of Jouy-le-Moutier. You will learn about the past activities of this hillside with its old limestone quarries, the former CGB railway line that linked Pontoise to Poissy, the Jouy-le-Moutier menhir and two wash houses.

Starting from the Route du Faîte, this is a very hilly hike in the Montmorency Forest, passing by the Château de la Chasse.

A mainly forest route, alternating between wide paths and trails winding through the undergrowth. An opportunity to discover a charming pond and explore a well-maintained botanical trail.

The Chauvry Valley is a listed site, particularly due to its biological richness. It is bordered by the forest massifs of Isle-Adam to the north and Montmorency to the south and stretches from the Oise valley to the Plaine de France. The hike takes place in rolling agricultural and wooded landscapes and passes through the grounds of the Château de Méry-sur-Oise.

This hike is a shorter version of the hike called "The Isle-Adam National Forest and its southern edge". The route, with sections through the forest and paths across fields and meadows, offers beautiful woodland scenery and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside thanks to the gently rolling terrain.

From boatmen to Henry IV, this walk reveals what lies beneath the terraces of the Château de St Germain: paths winding between the pavilions, trees from the Île-de-France region, a walk under the terrace, the banks of the Seine and Corbière Park.

First, follow the Coulée Verte along the route of an old disused railway line, then a green walkway, both of which have been converted for pedestrians. Next, explore the streets and alleys to discover a diverse range of residential architecture.

The hike begins in front of Osny Town Hall in the beautiful setting of Château Grouchy and its park bordered by a pond. The walk heads north-west to the town of Boissy-l'Aillerie, returning south and then east to the starting point via Grouchy Park. Much of the route is away from roads with motor traffic.

The commune of Le Vésinet enjoys a unique status in France as it is a "park town". It was designed with rivers and lawns, and houses surrounded by huge gardens. Its proximity to the Seine makes for a varied and very pleasant walk, easily accessible by RER. At the end of the walk, the Île des Ibis offers a reward for young and old alike: a children's playground and numerous water birds to observe.

In search of a little blue butterfly. During a break halfway through, I saw a magnificent blue butterfly, just once, which was quite exceptional. This gave me the idea to write an article and since then, I have always dreamed of seeing it again.

It is an opportunity to walk through forests of various species and to come across two ancient crosses and two oratories. The route ends with a water theme, at the confluence of the Seine and the Oise.

An urban route from station to station with a water theme! After crossing Parc du Chemin de l'Ile with its many ponds, follow the towpath along the Seine. Two detours into Parc Lagravère complete the picture.

The Oise region was a favourite haunt of the Impressionist painters. You’ll quickly see why as this route winds its way through fields of grass and the green Sausseron valley. The outward leg is entirely in the open until you reach Labbeville. The return journey will be in the shade as you pass through Nesles-la-Vallée and Valmondois. History buffs will be in their element with the presence of castles, mills, churches and, of course, the old railway line between Labbeville and Valmondois

An urban route where you can admire architecture from various periods. A stone's throw from the La Défense district, in the shadow of its vertiginous towers, the Parc André Malraux and its collection garden offer a preserved setting.

A lovely walk through three different types of landscape: the Sausseron valley, cultivated plateaus (with beautiful unobstructed views over the rolling hills of the Vexin), and varied woodlands, mainly comprising chestnut, beech and birch groves, with a few oaks, and, in the valley, poplar groves. Two exceptional points of interest: Saint-Symphorien Church and the Tour du Lay stone polishing site. Not to mention the many old mills on the Sausseron, beautiful country houses, and interesting stone crosses along the paths. As for famous figures, the village honours (with a villa and bust) Honoré Daumier, the great caricaturist who died in Valmondois in 1879. Another, more contemporary artist has donated a series of sculptures on permanent display in Michel Charpentier’s Sculpture Garden.

A pleasant hike along the Sausseron, a small stream in Valmondois, past the mills and back via the steam tramway museum and its old railway line.

A walk starting from Valmondois towards Ogivaux Castle and Moulin le Roy, then heading towards L’Isle-Adam through the woods. A stroll along the left bank towards the new port of L’Isle-Adam, then a walk around the lake, and continuing along the banks of the Oise via the GR®1 greenway.

Half of the route takes you through the Forest of L'Isle-Adam. This hike from station to station offers other points of interest, including two covered walkways dating from the Neolithic period.

An easy walk that takes you through beautiful countryside, as well as the charming village of Valmondois. The section passing through the upper part of Parmain offers a chance to discover magnificent houses, more like manor houses than ordinary homes.

Starting from the Saint-Germain-en-Laye RER station, this loop begins on the grounds and terrace of the château, then alternates between wide forest paths and trails that wind through the undergrowth.

The commune of Bois-Colombes is home to many townhouses nestled in narrow streets, lanes and cul-de-sacs known as "villas" or "avenues". This urban route takes you along a number of these streets, allowing you to discover the charms of spacious housing and diverse architecture.

This heritage trail will allow you to discover and visit the two sites that hosted Olympic and Paralympic events for the Paris 2024 Games in the Hauts-de-Seine department: Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre and the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium in Colombes. Created through a collaboration between the Nanterre Tourist Office, OMEPS and the towns of Nanterre and Colombes for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this route is suitable for beginner cyclists and also allows you to enjoy the banks of the Seine. The bike ride alternates between contemporary buildings and unexpected green spaces.

From Nerville-la-Forêt, take a short hike in the Forêt de l'Isles Adam with visits to three villages and three churches. This hike is popular in summer when it is hot thanks to the cool shade of the trees in this forest, and also in winter as the ground is not too muddy.

The town of Levallois offers a wide variety of styles, materials and standards of living. Elegant Haussmann-style buildings stand alongside former industrial buildings and the first social housing blocks from the 1960s, with brick façades often adorned with ceramic motifs. Today, the town is home to numerous corporate headquarters and office blocks, whilst new, large modern residential developments surrounded by green spaces are springing up.
