Parking at the station car park, on the left between the two bridges coming from Méry-sur-Oise. There is a tunnel at the back of the car park to access the station.
Train: Pontoise - Persan - Beaumont line.
(S/E) From the station forecourt, leave the station, cross the main street and turn left. Enter Van Gogh Park, where you will find the Tourist Office and the statue of Van Gogh.
Exit at the covered market and continue to the right, passing in front of the town hall and Van Gogh's house, the Ravoux inn.
(1) Turn right onto Rue de la Sanconne. Pass the Daubigny Museum, then go up the path on the left to find yourself opposite the place where Van Gogh began his last painting before his suicide. The painting of the roots.
(2) Continue right onto Rue Daubigny and, after No. 10, note the decorated grotto.
Climb the church steps and, after the church forecourt, go up Rue Ferdinand Mesny, which continues as a sunken lane to the painting of the crows.
(3) At the crossroads, turn right towards the cemetery and enter. Van Gogh's grave is along the left wall. Exit through the gate at the back of the cemetery and go down to the right, Rue des Tournelles, then right again after the cross, Rue du Montcel.
(4) Opposite the church, turn left and after the statue of Daubigny, turn left onto Rue de Paris. At the crossroads, cross at the pedestrian crossing to cross the SNCF bridge, taking the pavement on the left. Immediately after, turn left then right to go down towards the Oise and the guinguette.
(5) Take the towpath on the right and continue along the riverbank for about 4 km. Pass under the railway bridge and continue for about 600 m.
(6) After a large willow tree, leave the Oise by turning right onto Chemin des Jardins, then cross the D4. Continue straight ahead for 50 metres and turn right onto Rue des Roches. Pass in front of the Chapelle Saint-Nicolas and continue straight ahead along the upper streets of Auvers de Simone Le Danois, des Ruelles, des Meulières, de François Coppé and des Gachets.
(7) After Maison Gachet, go up completely to the left at No. 58, a narrow path called Les Vessenos. At the top of the hill, continue straight ahead on the path for 500 metres until you reach a crossroads a few metres before the road.
(8) Do not join the road, but turn right at the hairpin bend onto Chemin de la Longue Rue. Then turn left between the gymnasium and the school.
(9) At the traffic lights, cross at the pedestrian crossing and continue to the right, then turn left onto Sente de la Carrières aux Coulons, opposite the police station.
(10) At the five-way crossroads, continue straight ahead until you reach the woods. At the entrance to the woods, descend to the right along a narrow path.
(11) At the bottom, enter the undergrowth on the left and follow the bottom of the valley for about 1 km.
(12) After the geological sign, at the crossroads, go up to the right at an acute angle. Shortly before the edge of the woods, turn right onto a wide path that runs alongside the Carrière aux Coquillages geological site. Continue straight ahead along a small steep path alongside the fence, then the path turns right and winds between the trees and rocks. This is a sensitive and fragile site. At the edge of the woods, continue to the crossroads.
(13) Take the descent to the right, ignore theGR®1and continue straight ahead. Then take the Chemin des Vallées on the right at a shed (PR® yellow markings) and quickly reach thefirst path on the left (PR®).
(14) Follow this path, which leads to Chemin des Berthelées and arrives at the castle gate.
(15) Go down to cross the castle esplanade, then exit through the large gate after the fountain and immediately turn left onto Rue de Lhéry, passing under the arch. Make a right turn onto Rue Alphonse Callet, where the Absinthe Museum is located, then continue on Rue de Lhéry until you reach the cross.
(16) Turn left to visit the Atelier Daubigny, then return to the cross and continue to the Racines site. Go down the path on the right to Rue de la Sansonne.
(2) Turn right and follow the same route back to the station (S/E).
