Description of the walk

Start from the stadium, ‘Chemin d’une Ruelle à l’Autre’.

(S/E) Take the street, leaving the stadium on your left; at the end of the stadium, turn left onto the path and continue to the back of the sports ground.

(1) Turn right, cross the road and walk past the Croix du Reposoir; follow the Vieux Chemin de Pontoise à Labbeville to the bottom of Rue de Mare (GR®1). Continue straight on to the Croix de Ney.

(2) Turn right and head back up towards the village (GR®1). Turn left onto Rue des Baudières. At the bottom of the street, keep right, cross over onto Rue Yves Borges and walk up it for about twenty metres. Take the path on the left and join Rue du Chêne.

(3) Walk down it on the left, then, before the left-hand bend, take the path leading downhill. Cross the Route de Pontoise (take care) and walk down the old road opposite. At the very bottom, you’ll come to a concrete service road.

(4) Turn right onto it and follow it for about 1 km (GR®). At the end, carry on by crossing the road leading down from the village. Go through the tunnel under the departmental road.

(5) Follow the Chemin de la Vallée Guyon along the edge of the woods for about 1 km (GR®) until the path branches off to the left.

(6) Continue along the path on the right which enters the woods and climbs (GR®). At the road, leave theGR® and turn right towards the Croix Coquard.

(7) Take the left-hand path and follow it for about 700 m until you reach a road (see alternative route in ‘Practical Information’).

(8) Cross a road, ignore a path on your left heading towards Livilliers, pass under the high-voltage power lines, and carry on straight ahead along the path until you reach a T-junction.

(9) Turn right, cross the D927 with care and continue straight ahead to the first junction.

(10) Turn right towards the D927, cross it carefully and continue straight ahead to the rear of the stadium.

(1) Turn right and, following the route back in the opposite direction to the outward journey, return to the stadium car park (S/E).

A fairly easy route; the final stretch on the flat is a bit long and rather uninteresting, despite the three hares we came across.
