The tour starts at Quai des Martyrs de la Résistance. To park, go to the section that is neither a pay-and-display zone nor a blue zone.
(S/E) Then it's very simple. Just walk along the Seine with the river on your right.
(1) At the corner of Rue du Val, note the Moorish-style house of the painter Victor Madeleine. Continue straight ahead along the banks of the Seine until you reach 123 Quai de Seine in La Frette.
(2) At this point, turn left onto Rue Jean Lefebvre.
(3) Turn left again onto Rue Gambetta, then, about 50 metres further on, turn left onto the Haut des Côtes d'Herblay path. It is narrow and uphill.
Then just follow the paths and streets straight ahead until you reach a church and its cemetery. Continue along the path that goes around the cemetery until you reach a staircase.
(4) Go down the stairs and follow the path to Rue de Val, then turn left onto this street.
(5) Turn right onto Rue des Grosses Eaux. Follow this street to the crossroads with Avenue Jean Allemane.
(6) At this junction, go up the stairs on the right leading to Avenue du Général Leclerc, then turn left onto this avenue.
(7) At the next junction, turn left onto Avenue Foch. Follow this avenue until you reach a gate blocking the road and marking the entrance to a residential complex (Jacqueline Brumaire).
(8) Just before this gate, climb the path on the right that winds its way up to Chemin de Conflans.
(9) At the top of the path, turn left and follow Chemin de Conflans straight ahead, then Avenue de Bellevue, which follows it, and finally Rue aux Moines.
All this leads to the Château du Prieuré, now the Musée de la Batellerie (River Transport Museum).
There, a beautiful view of the Seine rounds off the end of the circuit.
(10) Facing the Seine, on the right or left side of the esplanade, go down to a staircase that can be seen from above. This staircase and the one that follows it lead back to Quai des Martyrs de la Résistance.
(11) Turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
