Start at Place Bérégovoy (Collège des Hautes Rayes car park).
(S/E) Head south and take the stony path that runs alongside the secondary school, keeping it on your left.
(1) At the first junction, carry straight on across the fields. Pass under two high-voltage power lines, first turn left then right, and you’ll come to a tarmac road. Cross the road and follow it to the right along the pavement. At the end, turn left, staying on the pavement. Go round the roundabout, cross the road at the pedestrian crossings and continue in the same direction along the Chemin de Conflans.
(2) Turn right onto Sente Édith Piaf and head downhill. At the end, turn left and follow Avenue Foch for about 1 km.
(3) At the junction, carry on straight ahead along Avenue du Général Leclerc for about 150 m. Turn right onto Sente des Larrys (a flight of steps leading down to the Seine). At the bottom of the steps, turn left into the narrow Rue des Grosses Eaux. At the end, turn left and walk up Rue du Val to No. 23.
(4) Just past the entrance to No. 23, climb a steep path towards the church. Cross the cemetery to go round the church, then follow a path until you reach a tarmac road. Continue straight on along this road, which is marked with a ‘No Entry’ sign. At the end of the street, carry on straight ahead along a dirt track. At the end of this, go down a flight of steps to Rue Gambetta.
(5) Follow the street to the right and you’ll soon reach a junction. Take thesecond street on the left, Rue Jean Lefebvre. After about fifty metres, turn right into Rue de la Grande Côte. As you come out of a left-hand bend, head up the very steep Sente de la Grande Côte on the right. At the top, turn left onto Rue de la Gare.
(6) Just before the station, turn left onto the narrow bridge closed to motor traffic. Then follow Rue de la Ville de Paris. At the junction, turn right onto Rue des Tourterelles.
(7) After a left-hand bend, pass under the railway line through a very narrow pedestrian tunnel. At the exit, turn left into Rue des Bergeronnettes and walk alongside the railway line. At the next junction, turn left into Rue Gambetta and pass under the railway line again.
(8) At the crossroads, rejoin Rue de la Ville de Paris and follow it to the right. Continue along Rue de Cormeilles, following the railway line. Cross Route du Port aux Vins, carry on straight ahead down a slight slope and ignore the dead-end streets on either side.
(9) At the end, turn left down Rue du Val. Pass Rue Jean XIII on your left, then turn right onto Avenue du Général Leclerc. At the next junction, continue straight on along Rue Soufflot.
(10) At the next junction, turn left onto Rue des Sablons. You’ll cross Rue Jean Mermoz on your left. At the next junction, turn left onto Rue de Gaillon. Follow this street down to the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(3) Turn left and take the path that starts to the right of an electrical cabinet. Walk down through a small wood, ignoring all the turnings on the right. At the end of the path, continue along a tarmac road until you reach the Seine.
(11) Turn right onto the Quai du Génie and walk along the Seine on your left. After about 400 m, just before a barrier, turn right onto the Sente des Côtes de Conflans. At the next junction, turn left onto the Chemin du Val à Gaillon. Carry straight on, ignoring any side paths.
(12) You’ll come out onto a tarmac road (Chemin de Conflans) and follow it to the left. Just after passing under two high-voltage power lines, turn right onto the Chemin des Bournouviers. At the next junction, turn right onto the Sente des Laveuses, heading towards the Collège des Hautes Rayes.
(1) At the T-junction, turn left, walk alongside the secondary school and you’ll soon reach the starting point (S/E).
