Departure from La Frette Montigny station (Transilien line J). Parking available.
(S/E) On leaving the station, turn left onto Rue de la Gare and then immediately left again to pass under the railway bridge. Continue straight ahead for about 200 metres.
(1) Then turn right onto Rue de la Grande Côte and go downhill. At the end, turn left onto Rue Jean Lefebvre (red and white GR®2 markings). At the crossroads shortly after, take the second right onto Rue Gambetta.
(2) After about 100 metres, turn left onto a footpath (look carefully for the start of the path). Take the steps and continue along the Sente du Haut des Côtes d'Herblay. Further on, the footpath becomes Rue des Frères Bolifraud*. Follow this street straight ahead until you reach Saint-Martin Church.
(3) Go around the church on the right and turn left onto Rue Jean XXIII. Then turn right, leaving the cemetery on your left, and go down Chemin des Écoliers.
(4) You will come out onto Rue du Val. Follow this street to the left until you reach the banks of the Seine.
(5) Follow Quai du Génie to the left and walk along the river for about 400 metres.
(6) Then turn left onto Rue de La Frette, which is a footpath. Continue straight ahead, then continue along Rue des Prés (beautiful view of the Seine). At the end, turn right onto Rue Jean Lefebvre.
(7) Return to the banks of the Seine and turn left onto Quai de la Seine. Continue along the river, passing in front of the town hall of La Frette-sur-Seine, until you reach the Church of Saint-Nicolas.
(8) Continue straight ahead along Quai de la Seine. After passing a car park on the right-hand side, you will reach a fork in the road.
(9) Turn left onto Chemin Côte à Boivin and go uphill. Cross Sente des Verjus on the left and continue for a few dozen metres along Rue Guy de Maupassant.
(10) Take the first right, Rue des Picardes. Cross Avenue Jean Mermoz and you will come to a crossroads.
(11) Take the second left, Rue de la Mardelle. At the end, turn left onto Rue de Verdun. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead onto Boulevard de Lorraine. Continue straight ahead until you reach the Alsace Lorraine Gymnasium.
(12) Then turn right onto Rue de Strasbourg. Cross Rue de Reims on the right-hand side, cross Rue du Général Sarrail and turn right onto Rue de Nancy. At the traffic lights, go straight ahead, then turn left to cross the bus station tracks at the pedestrian crossings. Then take the tunnel that passes under the railway tracks. On the other side, turn left to reach Place Pierre Semard, opposite Cormeilles-en-Parisis station.
(13) Turn right onto Avenue Foch. Cross Boulevard Joffre at the traffic lights and continue straight ahead on Avenue Foch. Cross Rue Carnot and, at the fork ahead, turn left onto Avenue de la Libération. Continue straight ahead, continue along Rue Maurice Berteaux and reach the junction with Rue Thibault Chabrand.
(14) Follow this street to the right. Take the first left, Rue Daguerre. When this street turns left, turn right. At the T-junction, follow Rue de la Montée Saint-Martin to the left. At the end, turn left onto Rue Jean Jaurès. At the end, turn right onto Rue Paul Bloch and then left onto Rue Pierre Dupont.
(15) Head right towards Fort de Cormeilles via a winding path marked PR®, taking the Chemin du Tour du Fort. At the intersection of paths at Les Biaumes, turn left, ignoring all the paths that branch off to the left, and continue straight ahead. Pass close to the corner of the fort and arrive at a turning on the left just before the Tour du Fort path begins a right-hand bend.
(16) Leave the Tour du Fort path, which continues straight ahead, and descend to the left. At a crossroads, the path leads you towards Montigny-lès-Cormeilles and ends at a road. Follow Rue de Montigny to the right for about 50 metres, then turn left onto a downhill path. You will come to a street; follow it to the left.
(17) At the end, turn left onto Rue des Bergères. Take the first right onto Rue des Grands Fonds. Cross a dead end on the left, then Rue Jeanne d'Arc on the right. Cross Boulevard de Pontoise at the traffic lights and continue along Rue Marcelin Berthelot. At the crossroads (post office on the left), take the second right, still on Rue Marcelin Berthelot. Continue straight ahead and you will soon see La Frette Montigny station on your left (S/E).
