A lovely walk, peaceful at the start but more strenuous on the climb up to the ruins. It’s quite a workout on the uphill section. A magnificent walk, very typical of the Ardèche, with water, pebbles and a narrow path that’s sometimes barely visible.

From the Via Rhôna to the gates of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park.
This route will take you along the entire length of the Payre cycle path, which starts in Pouzin and ends in Privas, the gateway to the Monts d'Ardèche Natural Park. The route starts from the car park in the small village of Les Petits Robins, near the Rhône. You will cycle part of the way along the Via Rhôna to Le Pouzin, which you will cross, before rejoining the La Peyre cycle path on the outskirts of the village.

Here is a lovely, long cycle ride from Port de l’Épervière to Valence, taking you through Portes-Lès-Valence, Les Petits Robins and the confluence of the Drôme. Then, on the Ardèche side, La Voulte-sur-Rhône, Beauchastel, Charme-sur-Rhône, Soyons and back to the port via the Pont des Lônes.

Château de Pierre Gourde and Serre de Meran
From Saint-Laurent-du-Pape, this pleasant hike to the ruins of Pierre Gourde Castle offers a beautiful overview of the Ardèche: the route is almost exclusively along ridges, with magnificent views of the Eyrieux Valley, the Ardèche Mountains, the Rhône Valley and the Vercors.
Please note: some steep and rugged climbs before reaching the château and, above all, the ascent of the Serre de Girbaud may discourage some hikers. It is not advisable to do the hike in reverse!

The suspension bridge spanning the Rhône connects to Livron.Here you are at the crossroads of two greenways, the Via Rhôna and the Dolce Via.
The lands and hamlets of Pierregourde Castle
A beautiful, long hike combining history and nature. Passing through numerous ancient hamlets that were under the authority of the Lord of Pierregourde, you will reach the ruins of the old seigneurial castle, perched on top of a rocky peak over 600 metres high.
A short detour to the wild summit of Serre de Girbaud offers a superb 360° panorama of the Rhône and Eyrieux valleys.

The ridges offer beautiful views, particularly of the Trois Becs, the Vercors and the Rhône.The return journey is mainly on small, quiet tarmac roads, which makes the descent easy but may discourage some hikers.

This walk will take you past the vineyards that produce the famous Saint-Péray wine. You’ll be right up close to the Marsanne and Roussane vines, trained on stakes. This route also offers beautiful views of the town of Saint-Péray, Crussol Hill and its castle, as well as the Vercors in the distance.
The three castles of Saint-Péray
A circular loop around the Crussol massif, passing by the three castles in the commune of Saint-Péray. Its main attraction is the quick ascent to the Crussol ridge, offering views of the Rhône valley and Crussol Castle from above on the south side. The route takes an hour to walk, but feel free to allow twice that time to enjoy the sites you pass through at your leisure.

A very pleasant short walk starting from the station, which first takes us to the centre of Saint-Péray, then to the left bank of the Mialan, then along country lanes and finally along the balcony path beneath the Crussol ridges.

Circular between Saint-Péray and Cornas
An easy hike between the plains of Saint-Péray and Cornas. We quickly move from the town to the countryside.
The path along the railway line between St-Péray and Cornas is no longer accessible due to work on the St-Péray bypass.At (2), follow the D86 towards Cornas, then take the first street on your right after the Cornas petrol station to reach the level crossing (between 3 and 4).
La Roche Percée in Cornas from Saint-Péray
Starting from Saint-Péray, another way to explore the Roche Percée des Arlettes in Cornas. A walk offering numerous panoramic views of Crussol Castle, the Rhône Valley, the Vercors, the Trois Becs and as far as the Diois, plus the magnificent vineyards of Saint-Péray and Cornas.
La Légre via Les Blaches from Saint-Péray
A short walk in the Bois des Blaches along the Ruisseau du Saveyre, then up to the heights in the middle of the vineyards, first in Saint-Péray, then in Cornas. Return via the track linking Cornas to Saint-Péray. Please note that due to roadworks on the St Péray bypass, the return journey between points 10 and 11 is temporarily impossible. Continue along the D 86 on the footpath and cycle path to reach point 11 directly.
Ile de Printegarde - From the Confluence to Les Ramières
From the impetuosity of the great river to the wisdom of its branches, this route along the water's edge will allow you to discover a fauna rich in sounds and colours.
Crête du Brézème - From the confluence to Les Ramières
From the ramparts to the Drôme, this hike will allow you to discover the hilltop village of Old Livron, the panorama of Mont Rôti and, at the water's edge, the Ramières Nature Reserve.

The Vizier's Hill and the banks of the Drôme

A flat hike along the Drôme to its mouth at the Rhône. Discover unspoilt nature with its fields, hedges and pretty paths along the dykes. You will see the fish pass, the Viarhona cycle route, swans, great cormorants and more.
Avoid in winter when there are strong north winds.
From L’Ozon to Le Duzon, starting from Champis
A very pleasant walk along the paths of the commune of Champis, with a short detour into the communes of Saint-Romain-de-Lerps and Saint-Sylvestre. You’ll cross numerous small streams, including the Ozon and the Duzon. The walk follows mainly marked trails, eitherGR®® (white and red) orPR®® (white and yellow).

This short circuit, near Alboussière, alternates between wooded passages, opening onto pretty panoramas, and typical hamlets: the countryside wins us over!
Around Alboussière: the Megaliths and the Rocking Stone
A pleasant walk in the Ardèche countryside, sometimes on small paved roads, but also on beautiful forest paths.
In Champis - La Bâtie de Crussol, a short detour will take you to the Pierre Branlante (rocking stone), then on the way back, you will see some megaliths in the meadows.
