Park at the Place Henri Richard car park.
(S/E) Leave the car park heading towards Le Mialan, then turn right to reach the Gendarmes footbridge.
(1) Do not cross the footbridge but continue straight on along the river. Pass under the D533 (Route du Puy-en-Velay) and carry on. When you come within sight of the bridge, turn right onto the main path to enter a housing estate and join the road.
(2) Turn left and cross the bridge.
(3) Immediately after crossing the bridge, take the first path on the left. Initially wide, this path narrows as it crosses a wooded area and then runs alongside a housing estate on the right.
(4) Continue straight on to cross the fitness area with its children’s play equipment. A little further on, you can turn left to cross the Mialan at the ford if there is little or no water. Otherwise, continue straight on along the wide path which runs parallel to Avenue Colette Dimberton and then follows it at a distance.
(5) Towards the end of the route, you’ll pass various species of fruit trees which you can try to identify. Go back under the D533 and turn left to cross the Gendarmes footbridge.
(1) Turn right then left to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
