Go to the hamlet of Vieux Rompon and park in the car park at the side of the road.
(S/E) From the car park, follow the road that passes in front of the chapel. Cross the hamlet and continue along the dirt track until you reach an iron gate.
(1) Go through the gate, taking care to close it behind you. Take the path opposite, slightly to the right, which climbs steeply (you can also follow the forest path on the left, which is less steep) and join the forest path. Continue to the right, passing a path on the right, and continue to the next junction with three paths.
(2) Turn left and follow the dirt track to a beautiful isolated tree.
(3) Continue to the left, straight on past a power line pylon and follow a path marked with a few pink and orange paint dots. Descend along a wire fence and join a path that you will follow to the right until you reach the Couvent des Chèvres.
(4) Set off again, following the forest path that runs along the hillside above the quarry. Ignore the track on your right and continue to a gate, which you should go around on the right (close the gate behind you). Return to the car park in the hamlet of Vieux Rompon (S/E).
