From the banks of the Mialan to the balconies of Crussol

Departure from Place de la Gare in Saint-Péray.

(S/E) With your back to the station, turn right, heading north, onto Rue Pierre et Marie Curie. At the first crossroads, turn left onto Rue du Général Leclerc and follow it to the end.

(1) Cross at the pedestrian crossing and turn left, heading south. Pass in front of the Monument du Souvenir Français and continue along Rue Oscar de Saint-Prix. At the next crossroads, opposite No. 33, turn right and walk up Rue de la République to Place de l'Hôtel de Ville. Continue straight on the D287, Rue Ferdinand Mallet, until you reach Place Henri Richard.

(2) Turn left and continue to the banks of the Mialan.

(3) Turn right, heading south-west, follow the riverbank on the left bank, pass under the D533 bridge and then in front of the skate park. Cross a small bridge over the Ruisseau de Bouyou, continue south-west, pass under the D279 bridge and then, 50 metres further on, turn right onto the D279 and cross it with caution.

(4) Cross the bridge over the Mialan and, at the next crossroads, turn right, keeping on the pavement until you reach the crossroads with Chemin des Champs on your left.

(5) Take this road, at the three-way junction with Chemin de la Pinatte, keep left, pass close to a beautiful house and then walk alongside a well-fenced vineyard. At the next crossroads, leave the tarmac and go straight on along the path that enters an oak forest. After about 50 metres, you will come to a fork.

(6) Take the path on the left and, at the end of the climb, you will come to a fork.

(7) Turn right onto the path marked in white and yellow, go through two hairpin bends and then reach the third.

(8) Turn left onto the path marked with a white and yellow cross. At the first crossroads, keep left, then at the next hairpin bend, keep left again onto the path that leads to the La Baume des Bois hiking post.

(9) Turn right and continue straight ahead, generally following the contour line. Pass the Hauts du Miallan hiking signpost, continue straight ahead, ignore the paths on the right and arrive at a barrier prohibiting access to motorised vehicles.

(10) Take the stairs on the left and arrive at the Château de Beauregard.

(11) In front of the gate, turn right and go down to the end of Chemin de Beauregard. Continue carefully to the right until you reach the roundabout.

(12) Use the pedestrian crossings to cross the bridge over the Miallan, then immediately turn right onto Avenue du Docteur Marc Bouvat. Follow this road to the end and you will find Place de la Gare on your left (S/E).
