Route of crosses starting from Ancy
A circular route starting from Ancy, marked with crosses, rolling hills and views of the Beaujolais and Lyonnais mountains, alternating between balcony paths and shaded forest trails. Some tarmac sections, visit to a cheese producer. Picnic area available in a peaceful spot. Option to climb to the summit of Mont Popey at the end of the route.
Crêt d'Arjoux from Ancy
The region has prehistoric and ancient remains, particularly from the Gallo-Roman period. Two temples are said to have existed, one on the Arjoux mountain and the other, dedicated to Jupiter, near the Mas Saint-Jean.
Silver mines were worked nearby in the 15th century.

The Trésoncle Balconies circular loop starting from Savigny
A beautiful, long hike in the hills above Savigny, alternating between orchards, mountain pastures and wild countryside, with walkers, mountain bikers and paragliders all sharing the terrain harmoniously. The first, uphill section follows mainly the ridge line separating La Turdine from Le Trésocle to the paragliders’ launch site, whilst the second section is relatively flat as far as Le Crêt d’Arjoux. The third section consists mainly of the descent back to Savigny.The route takes you up to higher ground, offering magnificent views over the entire Ain plain, the Beaujolais region and, in fine weather, the Alpine range.Furthermore, you’ll discover an area that offers plenty of hiking opportunities.At the start or finish, you can also take the opportunity to visit the beautiful village of Savigny with its yellow-stone church or its dovecote, located at the starting point of the hike.

The Mont Pancu tour
The western circular route around Brussieu will take you to the summit of Mont Pancu (600 m). You will discover the slope overlooking the Cosne valley, a charming little river that you will cross twice, and in the second part of the walk, the slope overlooking the Brévenne valley. The route is mainly on paths with some sections in the forest. This is a walk for families with children who are not too young and are good walkers.

The Voie du Tacot starting from Bois-d'Oingt
It is thanks to the Amis de la Voie du Tacot that you will discover this walk. This association organises walks throughout the year, with the largest gathering taking place in early November. Two lines of the Chemins de Fer du Beaujolais, opened between 1901 and 1902, linked Villefranche to Monsols and Villefranche to Tarare. The car replaced the train in 1934. Walk along sections of this track, now converted into a footpath, which runs the entire length from Liergues to Sarcey.

Monts du Lyonnais. Circular from Courzieu to Yzeron via Crêt de la Madonne
Meadows, orchards and woods follow one another on the hillsides where, from late spring to early summer, raspberries, strawberries, cherry blossoms and other red fruits flourish. The contrasting plots of land create a very varied and pleasant landscape, including wooded areas of oak, chestnut and hornbeam coppices. Exceptional panoramic views of the Tarare mountains (particularly from the "Lafont" orientation table), Lyon and the Ain plain. Virtually no tarmac. Pure bliss!
Mara des Bois in Courzieu
This route will take you through the village of Courzieu, first to the western side of the village, before heading towards the Col de la Croix de Pars. You will then descend back to the village, enjoying a bird's eye view.
White Strawberry Route in Courzieu
The Fraise Blanche route is a good introduction to the topography of Courzieu. You will reach the Col de la Croix de Pars from the hamlet of Sottizon and, after a pleasant stretch along the ridges, you will descend back to the village via the hamlet of Lafont.
La Garine
A lovely walk starting from the Col de Malval, offering views of both sides of the Monts du Lyonnais, the Brévenne side and the Lyonnais basin, with the added bonus of views of the Matin mountains to the west and the Alps to the east when the weather is clear. Physically demanding climb between km 3 and 6.
