Park opposite L'Arbresle Hospital.
(S/E) Take Chemin du Ravatel and head towards the junction with Rue Du Clos.
(1) Continue straight ahead along Chemin du Ravatel, cross the road and continue along Chemin de la Charrière. Walk past the cemetery and continue to the junction with Rue des Gaillards.
(2) Turn right onto it, cross the Ruisseau du Moulin and then the hamlet of Le Cher. Pass a group of houses before reaching the D118 road.
(3) Cross it carefully and pass through the vineyards to quickly reach another junction at the edge of a wood.
(4) Take the dirt track on the right, follow the edge of the woodland and then a vineyard, and you’ll come out onto the D76.
(5) Take it carefully to the left and head towards the village of Boyeux. Turn right at a 90° angle onto Montée de Boyeux. At the next road, turn right and then immediately left onto Chemin du Suc to reach the wayside shrine opposite the hamlet of Le Suc.
(6) Continue along Chemin du Châtelet, following it through a series of bends until you reach the A89 motorway. Cross the bridge to reach the junction with a dirt track.
(7) Turn left onto this track, follow the motorway and, at the next fork, keep right. Just below the power lines, turn right and, further on, enter the hamlet of Le Plan.
(8) Continue straight ahead and, following a circular loop to the left, go round the village of La Colletière and then reach the picnic area on the banks of the Azergues.
(9) Cross the road, walk past the sports fields and continue along the banks of the Azergues or along the nature trail. At the river’s edge, you’ll find the junction with the Chemin du Fay.
(10) Turn left onto it and begin the climb. Leave the hamlet of Le Fay on your left; a few steps further on, you’ll find Chemin de Conzy.
(11) Turn left onto this path. Leave it a few metres further on and turn right onto a path through the vineyards. Reach the highest point of Rousseland, then descend through the woods to the path leading to La Copette.
(12) Turn right onto it and pass the houses at La Barollière and Les Vavres. Turn left onto Chemin de Conzy, where there is a cross. Reach the tunnel under the A89, go through it and, shortly after the exit, you will come to another crossroads.
(13) Turn left onto the dirt track, continue straight on and you will reach a road in the Bois de l'Angle.
(14) Turn left, then right, then right again. Continue through the woods and, at the edge of the woods, you will find the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(4) Turn right and continue to the D118.
(3) Turn right onto it. Turn left onto the path starting at thesecond house. At the wayside shrine, continue straight ahead to avoid the bend in the road, then keep right on the road until you reach the crossroads by the wash house.
(15) Take the Chemin du Mont straight ahead and head towards the church and town hall of Saint-Germain-sur-l'Arbresle.
(16) Continue right onto Chemin de la Vavre and you will then come to the houses of the hamlet of La Vavre.
(17) Keep left on Chemin de la Vavre and walk past the fish farm at a distance. At the junction with Rue de Collonges, turn right to reach the village of Muzard at the junction with Rue du Muzard du Haut.
(18) Turn left onto it, stay on this road and then cross the D19 with care to return to the junction you passed on the way out.
(1) Turn right and follow the route you took on the way there in the opposite direction until you reach the car park opposite Arbresle Hospital (S/E).
