Park in the car park near Ancy church.
(S/E) Take Rue Centrale, opposite the church, and continue on the road to the right at the fork. Continue to Croix de Mury.
(1) Follow the gravel path on the right to quickly reach Croix Durdilly.
(2) Take the path on the right uphill, cross the tarmac road and continue on the path opposite, keeping to the left on the descent to reach the hamlet of Maillard.
(3) Turn left onto the tarmac road, walk alongside a farmhouse and take the path that climbs up opposite, joining the tarmac road at Croix des Humbert.
(4) Follow the tarmac road to the left to reach the hamlet of Les Humberts.
(5) Leave the district road and take the path opposite, which passes between two trees. Follow it, keeping to the right at the next fork, and enjoy the views of the Beaujolais mountains. You will reach the hamlet of Péletat.
(6) Follow the track opposite which enters the vegetation, stay in the undergrowth and on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful views. Cross the end of a field, remembering to put the gates back in place. You will reach a Y-shaped crossroads.
(7) Turn left onto the uphill path to join theGRP® des Monts du Lyonnais at a place called La Pierre des 4 Communs.
(8) Take theGRP® on the left, following the red and yellow markings. Join the tarmac road in Montmenot.
(9) Turn left and follow the road and theGRP®, then turn right at the next crossroads, staying on the GRP®. After a long, steep and stony descent, you will reach the hamlet of Mas Saint-Jean.
(10) Turn right and follow the red and yellow GRP® markings. Stay on this route at all crossroads. You will reach a new crossroads with a picnic area nearby.
(11) Follow the tarmac road to the left, then quickly take thefirst path on the right, which is still theGRP®. Follow it, keeping to the right. Cross the tarmac road, follow the Bombeynon path to the right and then to the left to reach this hamlet.
(12) Leave theGRP® here, turn left to follow the path downhill and, after enjoying a beautiful view of the village of Taylan, you will arrive at your destination.
(13) Take the D651 on the right, pass the hamlet of Le Bigot and reach a four-way crossroads with an iron cross.
(14) Turn left onto the road and join the D7. Take it to the left for a few metres, then leave it and turn right. Start a new climb here and reach a Y-shaped crossroads.
(15) Take the path on the left, continuing uphill. Cross through woods and past pretty chalets, cutting across the RD33 road. Continue straight ahead to reach another T-junction.
(16) Take the path on the left which climbs towards Mont Popey. Continue to reach the crossroads at the foot of this mountain.
(17) Here you have the option of making a round trip to Mont Popey.
Then begin the descent through the woods to reach the Croix de Bancillon.
(18) Turn left onto the tarmac road, continue downhill towards Ancy, cross the D7 and take the small road that descends to the left. At the crossroads, take the road opposite which leads back to the car park at Ancy Church (S/E).
