The hike can start from the car park of the Brossette store on Rue Gabriel Péri.
(S) Follow this street on the left and turn left onto the D19D towards Eveux.
Cross the Brévenne. You can then turn left. After 50 metres, you can go down to the riverbank. Otherwise, continue on the left-hand side behind the safety barrier.
Then cross the railway line, turn right and follow Chemin des Grands Fonds, which runs alongside the railway line and then veers away from it.
(2) Take the path on the left that goes uphill to rejoin Chemin des Grands Fonds. At the intersection at the top of the hill, turn right and walk along the wall. Continue to the entrance porch of the Couvent de Tourette.
(3) Enter through the porch and climb towards the woods of the Couvent de la Tourette. Continue straight ahead.
At the ice house, continue straight ahead. The path curves to the left.
(4) After passing a few cherry trees on the left, you can take a short detour to the left, as it is usually possible to see many birds (redstarts, accentors, warblers, etc.).
Then go around the convent on the left.
Once you have passed the convent, follow the road that turns to the right. Then continue climbing to leave the convent grounds.
(5) At the three-way junction, continue for a few metres, turn right onto the small path and walk along the vineyard to reach a track. Continue along this track to the right. At the end, turn right onto the road and pass under the power line.
(6) Turn left at the new road. Continue along the path. Enjoy the superb view on your left. When you reach the road, cross it to take the path opposite and begin the descent. Cross another road and follow the path to Les Gouttes.
(7) On your left, you will see a very colourful house with corks. Continue straight ahead, cross the bridge and take the path on your right. The climb begins. There are meadows on the left and right, usually with horses and cows.
(8) Take care when crossing this road. Take your time and continue along the path opposite. Continue climbing.
(9) Turn right and finish the climb by arriving at the Fouillet Chapel. Enjoy the view!
(10) Descend along the road towards Sourcieux-Les-Mines. At the cross, turn right into Rue du Paradis, follow it as it turns left and then right.
(11) Turn right into Impasse des Pervenches, then follow the path to rejoin the country lane.
(12) At the end, take the road on the left and continue straight ahead.
(13) Just before the tennis court on your right, take the path on the right and enter the woods of the Couvent de la Tourette. Walk downhill until you see a stone bench. Sit down and enjoy the view.
(14) Then, continue along the path on the far right to walk along the edge of the woods and return to the ice house you saw at the start of the hike. At the entrance porch, turn left to rejoin the first part of the hike and return to L'Arbresle.
