The walk starts from the car park of the Brossette shop on Rue Gabriel Péri.
(S) Follow this street to the left and turn left onto the D19D towards Eveux.
Cross the Brévenne. You can then turn left. After 50m, you can go down to the riverbank. Otherwise, continue on the left-hand side behind the crash barrier.
Then, cross the railway line, turn right and follow the Chemin des Grands Fonds, which runs alongside the railway line before veering away from it.
(2) Take the path on the left that climbs up to rejoin the Chemin des Grands Fonds. At the junction at the top of the climb, turn right and follow the wall. Continue to the entrance porch of the Couvent de Tourette.
(3) Enter through the porch and head up towards the woods of the Couvent de la Tourette. Keep going straight on.
At the ice house, continue straight ahead. The path curves to the left.
(4) After the few cherry trees on the left, you can take a short detour to the left as you can usually spot many birds (redstarts, dunnocks, warblers, etc.).
Then, go round the convent on the left.
Once past the convent, follow the road as it bends to the right. Then continue uphill to leave the convent grounds.
(5) At the three-way junction, continue for a few metres, turn right onto the small path and follow the vineyard to reach a track. Continue along this track to the right. At the end, turn right onto the road, passing under the power line.
(6) Turn left onto the new road. Continue along the path. Enjoy the superb view on your left. When you reach the road, cross it to take the path opposite and begin the descent. Cross another road and follow the path to Les Gouttes.
(7) On your left, a very colourful house with bottle caps. Continue straight on, cross the bridge and take the path on your right. The climb begins. Meadows to the left and right, usually with horses and cows.
(8) Take care when crossing this road. Take your time and continue along the path opposite. Keep climbing.
(9) Turn right and finish the climb by arriving at the Chapelle Fouillet. Enjoy the view!
(10) Head down the road towards Sourcieux-Les-Mines. At the cross, turn right into Rue du Paradis, follow it; it bends left then right.
(11) Turn into Impasse des Pervenches on the right, then follow the path to rejoin the track through the fields.
(12) At the very end, take the road on the left. Pass through the hamlet of Le Sonnay, then continue along Route de Chassignol and you’ll soon reach the next junction.
(13) Continue straight on, along Chemin des Vignes. Follow the path until you reach a junction. Turn right and follow this track, which passes at the foot of a telecommunications pylon and runs along the edge of the woods until you rejoin the route taken on the way out.
(3) Walk a few metres and turn left. Then continue along the path in the opposite direction to the outward journey until you reach the car park of the Brossette shop on Rue Gabriel Péri (S/E).
