The walk starts from the car park of the Brossette shop on Rue Gabriel Péri.
(S/E) Follow this street to the left and turn left onto the D19D towards Eveux.
(1) Cross the Brévenne. You can then turn left. After 50 metres, you can go down to the riverbank. Otherwise, continue on the left-hand side behind the crash barrier.
(2) Cross the railway line, turn right and follow the Chemin des Grands Fonds, which runs alongside the railway line before veering away from it.
(3) Take the path on the left which climbs back up to rejoin the Chemin des Grands Fonds.
(4) Turn right and walk alongside the wall. Continue until you reach the entrance porch to the Couvent de Tourette.
(5) Enter through the porch and head up towards the woods of the Couvent de la Tourette. Keep going straight on.
(6) At the icehouse, carry on straight ahead. The path curves to the left. Go round the convent on the left.
(7) Once past the convent, follow the road as it bends to the right. Then continue uphill to leave the convent grounds via a gateway.
(8) At the three-way junction, carry on for a few metres, then turn right onto the small path that climbs slightly. You will then need to cross a field to reach a vineyard. Keep the vineyard on your right as you walk alongside it, and you will come to a path. Continue along this path to the right, following it uphill. At the end, turn right onto the road and pass under the power line. Finally, turn left onto the new road to pass the hamlet of Le Sonnay.
(9) Immediately afterwards, take the path on the right which climbs towards the chapel. Reach the chapel.
(10) Then head down the road towards Sourcieux-Les-Mines. At the cross, turn right into Rue du Paradis, walk down it; it then curves to the left. At the junction, turn right and then take Impasse des Pervenches on the right. Finally, follow the path to rejoin the track through the fields.
(11) At the very end, take the road on the left and carry on straight ahead. At the cross, carry on straight ahead and head down the path.
(12) At the crossroads, take the path on the right, flanked by hedges. This is a long, downhill stretch with a wall on your right. Pass under the power line again. A gate in this wall allows you to enter the woods of the Couvent de la Tourette if you wish.
(5) Once you reach the entrance porch, turn left to rejoin the first part of the walk and head back to L’Arbresle (S/E).
