The hike can start from the car park of the Brossette store on Rue Gabriel Péri.
(S/E) Follow this street on the left and turn left onto the D19D towards Eveux.
(1) Cross the Brévenne. You can then turn left. After 50 metres, you can go down to the riverbank. Otherwise, continue on the left behind the safety barrier.
(2) Cross the railway line, turn right and follow Chemin des Grands Fonds, which runs alongside the railway line and then branches off.
(3) Take the path on the left that climbs up to rejoin Chemin des Grands Fonds.
(4) Turn right and follow the wall. Continue to the entrance porch of the Couvent de Tourette.
(5) Enter through the porch and climb up towards the woods of the Couvent de la Tourette. Continue straight ahead.
(6) At the ice house, continue straight ahead. The path curves to the left. Go around the convent on the left.
(7) Once you have passed the convent, follow the road that turns to the right. Then continue uphill to leave the convent grounds through a gate.
(8) At the three-way junction, continue for a few metres, then turn right onto the small road that climbs slightly. You will then need to cross a field to reach a vineyard. Keep the vineyard on your right and follow it until you reach a road. Continue along this path to the right and up the hill. At the end, turn right onto the road and pass under the power line. Finally, turn left onto the new road to pass the hamlet of Sonnay.
(9) Immediately after, take the path on the right that climbs towards the chapel. Continue until you reach the chapel.
(10) Then descend along the road towards Sourcieux-Les-Mines. At the cross, turn right into Rue du Paradis, follow it downhill, then turn left. At the intersection, turn right and then take Impasse des Pervenches on the right. Finally, follow the path to return to the field track.
(11) At the end, take the road on the left and continue straight ahead. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead and follow the path downhill.
(12) At the crossroads, turn right onto the path surrounded by hedges. This is a long downhill section with a wall on your right. Pass under the power line again. A gate in this wall allows you to enter the woods of the Couvent de la Tourette if you wish.
(5) Once you reach the entrance porch, turn left to rejoin the first part of the hike and return to L'Arbresle (S/E).
