Park in the car park of the Saint-Romain-de-Popey community hall.

(S/E) Cross the road and follow it on the left via a separate path. Pass the basketball court below and continue to the entrance to Le Blanc.
(1) Turn right onto a path that climbs through the cherry trees. At thefirst junction, turn right. At the next junction, turn left and start walking through the undergrowth. You’ll reach a crossroads with several directions.
(2) Turn left, cross the D7 road. Walk along the left side of the hamlet of Les Gouttes. Continue for a few metres along a road and then come to another path junction.
(3) Take the path on the left and follow the Ruisseau de Trésoncle. At the sewage treatment plant, turn right and head towards Ancy church.
(4) Take the road and continue uphill along the path that follows it to reach the Croix du Crêt, where there is a hiking sign.
(5) Take the road opposite for a few metres, then turn right downhill into the Bois de Varenne. You will reach a track at the edge of the woods.
(6) Turn right onto it and complete the descent at the junction with the Route des Gouttes.
(7) Keep right on this road and, at the Y-junction, start a new climb along the road on the right to reach Varenne. Pass between the buildings (follow the road) of a farm and continue along the road.
At the next junction, marked by a hiking sign, take the path on the right to reach thefirst houses of Saint-Romain.
(8) Follow the road downhill to a junction. Turn left, pass the church and continue to a junction. Turn right, follow the road towards Savigny, Saint Bel or L'Arbresle to reach the car park of the Saint-Romain community hall (S/E).
