Villard-de-Lans: From Les Clots to Col Vert, return via Combe Charbonnière

Climb from the very pretty spot called Les Clots towards the Col Vert and descend via the Combe Charbonnière, a scree slope that is a little tricky to navigate. View of the Belledonne massif from the Col.
This allows you to get a good view of the Vercors landscapes and enjoy the variety of the mid-mountain terrain.
Not to be attempted in winter! Between 6 and 7, there is a high risk of avalanches, especially towards the Combe de la Charbonnière.
Long loop of the Gobert trail

The Gobert trail is very popular with hikers for its rich flora, which can be discovered all along the way between the Pic Saint-Michel crossroads and the Roybon hut. This almost horizontal section also offers a remarkable view of the Vercors plateau between Lans-en-Vercors and Villard-de-Lans.

This hike will take you along the Sentier Gobert, famous for its rich flora, which is in full bloom during June and July.
This mountain trail also offers splendid views of the Lans-en-Vercors plain and Villard-de-Lans.
Le Cornafion from La Conversaria via the Col Vert and the Col de l'Arc

This beautiful loop trail starts at La Conversaria, a hamlet in Villard-de-Lans. The trail through the woods climbs to the Roybon Refuge and then up rocky slopes to the Col Vert. It crosses to the opposite side to follow the eastern ridge of the Vercors. Along the way, a winding trail climbs the slope below the Roc du Cornafion. A short climb takes you to the ridge of the secondary summit, then through a gap to the summit, where you can enjoy a magnificent, vertiginous panorama. The return to the eastern balcony of the Vercors is in the opposite direction. The trail reaches the Col de l'Arc and drops down the western slope to the starting point.Please follow the recommendations in the practical information carefully.
La Grande Moucherolle via the Fenêtre ridge and the east ridge

Although located within a ski resort, this circular route avoids deforested and lunar landscapes as much as possible. The ascent is mostly through forest on little-used tracks. The crossing of the north-west ridge is superb, culminating in the magnificent Arche de la Fenêtre. The aerial descent of the east ridge leads to the Col des Deux Sœurs.The return journey to the Pas de l'Œil is via a little-used path that continues along the foot of the Gerbier ridges. Via the Combe Charbonnière, the route joins theGR®®91, which takes you back to the Balcon de Villard.

A hike in the heart of the Vercors to discover ibex (numerous and not shy in these mountains). And as a bonus on arrival, beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Corrençon circuit via Darbounouse and La Coinchette

A trail at the gateway to the Vercors plateaus, with the outward journey on theGR®91and the return via La Coinchette.
Most of the route is through woodland, offering views of the Vercors ridges from Darbounouse. The return journey is partly off the beaten track, before rejoining the forest paths via the Baraque Guillet, Les Auberges and La Fleur du Roy.
The 45th parallel

Halfway between the North Pole and the equator, this is a fun route for everyone. It is possible to do it on a mountain bike, but be careful in the second part.
The Pic Saint Michel

This easily accessed summit is located on a ridge between the "Vallée de la Gresse" and the Vercors plateau. It offers a breathtaking view on Belledonne, Les Rousses and a bit further Les Ecrins.
Corrençon loop via Herbouilly

This fairly varied loop between Corrençon and Herbouilly (two of the gateways to the Nordic ski area with Bois Barbu) takes you along wide forest tracks and more peaceful forest paths. In places (at the start and finish), it runs alongside the golf course and roller ski tracks. It reaches its highest points at Pas de l'Âne and Pas de la Sambue. It passes the Roybon inn and the Herbouilly cross-country ski centre before taking the Pas Saint-Martin path and crossing the Herbouilly plain. On the way back, don't miss the view of the Grande and Petite Moucherolle, the Tête des Chaudières and the ski slopes of Villard-de-Lans and Corrençon-en-Vercors.

A pleasant, easy family walk through clearings and forests, at the gateway to the Hauts-Plateaux Nature Reserve. A renowned Nordic site, with an 18-hole golf course, a roller ski track, a professional shooting range and numerous marked trails, this area is a delight for hikers, golfers, biathletes, mountain bikers and runners alike.

Pic Saint-Michel via the Combe Oursière and return via the Chemin des Anciens

One of the peaks bordering the Vercors Regional Park to the east. Relatively easy to access, in good weather it offers a wide panorama from Mont Blanc on your left to the Écrins massif via the Belledonne chain. The climb via the Combe Oursière is less frequented than via Les Allières. A well-shaded route for most of the way.
The Pas de la Sambue and Château Julien, in the heart of the Vercors

After crossing the Herbouilly plain, this circuit climbs up to the Pas de la Sambue and then joins the Château Julien plateau via the Malaterre karstic cave. Nestled in the heart of the northern Vercors, it offers a glimpse of a key site of the Resistance and the karstic landscape of the Vercors. Superb view from the Château Julien viewpoint.
Le Moucherotte via the Vertige des Cimes and Les Ramées

A hike on the eastern flank of the Vercors above Lans-en-Vercors takes you to Le Moucherotte via the Vertige des Cimes, a footbridge that juts out two metres above the void.
An easy hike offering spectacular views of all the surrounding mountains and Grenoble.
