In the centre of Villard-de-Lans, take Rue de la République and follow the signs for "Les Pierres". Park in the car park on the left at the foot of the buildings.
(S/E) The walk begins by following the signs for "Pont de l'Amour". Take Chemin de la Fauge.
(1) Once you have crossed the Pont de l'Amour, turn left towards the Fauge shelter, following the Fauge stream.
(2) Take the path downhill to the right until you reach the chalet.
(3) You can relax on the benches at the Fauge shelter. Then retrace your steps.
(2) When you reach the intersection, turn right towards the Bergerie de la Fauge.
(4) Head right to reach Les Banchauds.
(5) At the next intersection, continue straight on towards Combe Charbonnière.
The slope then becomes steeper in this valley until you reach another intersection.
(6) Take the path on the right (the path on the left will be used on the way back).
Follow the Péronnard path at the foot of the Crêtes du Gerbier.
(7) When you reach Grande Combe, follow the path on the left to reach Grand Couloir.
(8) Continue straight ahead to reach the Pas de l'Œille.
(9) At Pas de l'Œille, enjoy the view. Turn right to climb up to the pass overlooking Pré de l'Achard.
(10) If you're lucky, you might spot some ibex... Return via the same route.
(9) Turn left towards the Grand Couloir.
(8) Continue straight ahead.
(7) Continue along the path slightly to the right.
You will arrive at the Combe de Charbonnière.
(6) Turn slightly right and follow the Péronnard path.
(11) When you reach Péronnard, take the path down to the left to reach Roybon.
(12) Once you reach the Roybon shelter, turn left to reach the Bergerie de la Fauge.
(4) Then turn right onto the path leading down to the Fauge shelter.
(2) Continue slightly to the right towards the "Pont de l'Amour" (Bridge of Love)
Cross the bridge and continue along the path to the car park (S/E).
