Park in the golf course car park or the cross-country ski car park in winter (lodge-restaurant).
(S/E) Take theGR®91south for 400 m until you reach a fork.
(1) Continue on theGR®91, avoiding the cross-country ski trails, and follow the red and white markings. You will arrive at the Champ de la Bataille.
(2) Leave these tracks and continue south on theGR ®.
(3) Cross the45th parallel (marker) and continue to the Carrette refuge hut.
(4) Leave theGR® and take a path behind the refuge that climbs south-east and follows a fault line to the Grand Pot clearing.
(5) Continue along the trail in the same direction, following the markings. Difficult in winter but tracks are visible. Cross the sharp limestone pavement until you leave the forest and reach the ridge and the Pas Ernadant, which is clearly visible (sign).
(6) At Pas Ernadant, depending on conditions, you can continue to Rocher du Playnet (summit).
Otherwise, turn back to the Grand Pot.
(5) Take the path to the right heading north, which climbs a little before turning towards Corrençon. Further down, the path becomes a track and joins theGR®91.
(1) Continue along this path and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
I've done this hike three times, twice on snowshoes. Up to the Cerrette hut, it's a gentle walk, but after the hut, you have to guess your way, as the grass is very different and the climb is very steep and difficult up to Le Pot i've never climbed up that way. In my opinion, it's better to go the other way, as it's easier. Leave the GR91, which goes to the right, and take the one on the left that climbs up to Le Pot. The rest is perfect (there were a lot of people at the hut after a few hikers, so I came back the same way).
