Penne Bruniquel loop

A beautiful rollercoaster route in the heart of nature. From woodland to plateaus, you will walk along paths on either side of the Aveyron between two remarkable medieval villages.
The outward journey takes you along unmarked but easily recognisable paths that are rarely used.
The return journey is entirely on theGR®46trail, marked in red and white, and is easy to follow.
The footbridge from Hautpoul to Mazamet

Hike with elevation gain, marked in yellow at intervals, which will allow you to use the Hautpoul footbridge opened at the end of 2018 and cross the medieval village of the same name.
There is a tricky section between points (6) and (7) where recent tree felling has more or less destroyed the mapped paths and removed the markers.
Oppidum of Berniquaut

Circuit to Gallic ruins offering a 360° view of the Sorèze plain.
Puycelsi Heritage Trail

From the Conservatory Orchard to the oak groves of La Grésigne, walkers will follow the path the entire way.
The Audoulou stream runs alongside parts of the route, providing welcome refreshment in summer.
Some effort will be required as the route alternates between ascents and descents with very few flat sections.
Tour of Lac des Cammazes

This hike is very easy to follow, but bring sunscreen and water if you're doing it in the middle of summer!
Les Suquets de Penne

From the rock village of Penne, the circuit takes hikers to the Suquets viewpoint.
Countryside and forests share the multifaceted landscape of limestone cliffs.
Steep climbs and descents will delight the more athletic walkers.
The end of the route is a peaceful walk along the Aveyron river before a final short climb at the foot of the village.

A beautiful route through the countryside, valleys and forests, leading from Larroque to Puycelsi via Mespel and La Grésigne.
Almost entirely on trails, in unspoilt natural surroundings.
Some effort is required on a few climbs, but nothing that a motivated walker can't handle.
Oppidum of Berniquaut and Saint-Jammes Chapel

On the western edge of the Montagne Noire, this hike harmoniously combines historical remains and beautiful views. The Oppidum de Berniquaut, the excavations of medieval dwellings on the same site, a large standing stone with cup marks and the ruins of the Chapelle Saint-Jammes de Besauceles will delight history enthusiasts. Lovers of beautiful landscapes will also find something to satisfy them on this route, which overlooks the Sorèze plain from a height of over 300 metres.
Over hill and dale around Arifat

Starting from the pretty site of the Arifat waterfalls, this hike alternates between forest passages and paths on gentle ridges where the view opens up over the surrounding mountains and valleys to offer beautiful panoramas, particularly stunning in autumn when the deciduous trees are ablaze with colour.
Larroque and Puycelsi loop

A beautiful hike to discover two picturesque villages in the Tarn: Larroque and Puycelci, a medieval fortress that is also one of the most beautiful villages in France.
Bell tower trail

Lovers of bucolic landscapes will be enchanted by this walk through vineyards and woods.
The rural panorama is punctuated by views of the bell towers surrounding Técou.
Walk around Mauriac

Starting from the small village of Mauriac, this short hike, accessible to all, takes you through valleys carpeted with vineyards and small hills offering views of the Gaillac plain and, on a clear day, the Montagne Noire and even the Pyrenees. A few beautifully restored dovecotes and some noble residences adorn the route.
The Chemin des Amoureux

The Chemin des Amoureux (Lovers' Path) takes you up the Laudot valley toward Cammazes. You return on the GR7.

Vineyards, small villages and dovecotes around Château du Cayla

A hike between vineyards and hills which enables you to discover a gently undulating landscape where pretty small villages and lovely dovecotes, enhanced by their careful restoration, nestle. The Château-Musée du Cayla which is located on the walk could also provide amateur historians and literature buffs with a splendid cultural stopover, following in the footsteps of Maurice and Eugénie de Guérin, whose correspondence is still famous.

Loop to the south of Cordes-sur-Ciel

This loop allows you to visit the Chapelle Saint-Jean, an endearing place with a strong link to the history of Cordes-sur-Ciel.
The tour ends in the tourist centre of the bastide town of Cordes for a well-deserved visit and break.

Maison de la Vallée loop from Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy

This hike takes you through valleys and plateaus, forests and viewpoints, passing through Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy, Notre-Dame-de-Tournadous and the Maison de la Vallée du Gijou.
This hike alternates between ascents and descents, surrounded by nature, with beautiful views.
