Park in the car park opposite the church in Vaour.
(S/E) Go around the church on the right and turn right onto the small road that goes uphill. Follow thePR® trail of La Grésignola (yellow markings).
(1) Turn left after a house, following the PR®. At the Maitairie Blanche farm, turn right onto theGRP® (red and yellow markings).
(2) When you reach the plateau, turn left, still following the GRP®. Reach the D91 and follow it to the left for a few metres until you reach the Dolmen Peyro Levado.
(3) Cross the D91 and take a path heading north-east. Continue in the same direction along a small road.
(4) At the crossroads, take thePR® on the left (signposted "Boucle Vaour"; leave theGRP® straight ahead). Go down a narrow path, reach the D15 and follow it to the right. After about 50 metres, turn right and then immediately left (north-west) onto a path in the woods.
(5) After a right-hand bend, leave the path and take a trail on the right. At Camp Moutiés, turn right then left to join the road at the entrance to Saint-Michel-de-Vax. Follow the road to the right and cross the village (castle and beautiful buildings).
(6) At the exit (cross), turn right onto a path that descends steeply. Cross a first paved road, turn right and cross a second road. Cross a stream and climb up to reach a small road.
(7) Follow it to the right, then quickly leave it for a path on the left that climbs towards La Peyrière.
(8) Turn right at an acute angle and, at the fork, go left up a small road. After the last house, ignore a path on the left. At the next crossroads, turn right.
(9) Rejoin theGRP® and follow it to the left (old Roman road). After about 150m, turn right, still following the GRP®. Walk south, ignoring the paths on either side, then head east.
(10) At the crossroads, leave theGRP® and turn left to cross the village of Roussayrolles (picnic table, water point and public toilets).
(11) At the church, turn right.
(12) At the cross, go straight ahead and then immediately left towards Mespoulet.
(13) At the crossroads in Mespoulet, turn left and immediately ignore a turn-off on the right. At the fork that appears shortly afterwards, take the wide path on the right. Follow this path west-southwest.
(14) At La Fleur de Lys, cross a small paved road and continue north-west. Ignore a turn-off on the left (elevation 418) and come out onto a road (cross). Take this road to the left towards Peyralade. Before the village, take a path on the left that avoids the road and passes in front of a fountain.
(15) Cross a small road, quickly come out onto another road and follow it to the left. At the end, cross the D91 carefully and follow it to the right for about 50 metres.
Leave the road and take a path that climbs uphill (wash house), leaving the Galanti wash house on your left. When you reach the plateau, you will be near the crossroads you took on the way there.
(2) Take the path on the left at an acute angle towards the Col de Liberté.
(16) Halfway up the slope, turn right (south-southwest). At the T-junction, turn slightly left. Near the place called Le Ribatou, continue along a small road. At the three-way junction, turn right.
(1) Descend back to Vaour to return to the church car park (S/E).
Nice hike, no difficulty, well signposted but having a GPS is a plus, lots of picnic spots from Roussayrolles onwards
