Starting from the small village of Cambous, this hike to discover the "Pays du Margnès" alternates between forest passages and open spaces offering beautiful views. After a stop at the Canroute bog and its discovery trail, the climb to Puech Cornet and its orientation table brings the route to a beautiful close with a magnificent 360° panorama.

Starting from the village of Espérausses, it will take you through woods and small valleys to Puech Carbonniés, which boasts a beautiful coniferous forest and remarkable views. As an added bonus, you can discover "jasses" or dry stone shepherds' huts, reminders of a bygone pastoral era.

A beautiful day trip on horseback through the Sidobre rocks, starting from the Sabatarié stables. Stop at Lac du Merle in the morning to water the horses. A few precautions to bear in mind:- Be vigilant when crossing roads (including the D622, which is busy).- the rocks are not slippery for horses (granite), but always remain vigilant when riding over them.

This region, between Mazamet and Castres, is extraordinary for its accumulation of granite boulders, left in all directions by nature. The walk is always sheltered from the sun and wind, and there is no tarmac. I am making an exception to my rule of ignoring the markings left on rocks and trees. This walk is well signposted, but only pay attention to the FFR markings. White and red lines for theGR® and yellow lines elsewhere.

The Pic de Montalet peaks at 1259 m. A day of hiking and fresh air to take in the beauty of the landscape. The 360° view of the Massif Central from the Rocher de la Vierge is breathtaking.

This short family hike, shaded and sheltered from the wind, is as pleasant in summer as it is in winter. You will enjoy the scenery and the sunken paths between hazelnut trees and holly.

The loop represents a journey through history on the heights of Pont-de-l'Arn. On the plateau, a path, water and memories... This circuit passes through the open hills overlooking Pont-de-Larn. The Pas des Bêtes lake reveals itself in a wooded, fairy-tale setting. The journey ends with two menhir statues standing at the side of the path, witnesses to a civilisation from the late Neolithic period.

The planques are ancient footbridges built with huge stone slabs connected by metal staples and supported by dry stone walls and one or two large blocks serving as pillars. This superb circuit takes you through the Haut Languedoc Natural Park, across fields in the middle of the Somail National Forest, to discover these famous planques spanning the Arn stream and the Chemin des Menhirs.
