Park in the car park opposite the lake, on the opposite side of the D30.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, cross the road carefully. Turn right and follow the path that runs along the north side of the lake. When you reach the left-hand corner, turn right onto the path. Continue north. Cross Le Lignon and you will come to a road.
(1) Turn right to cross it and take the wide track that leads to the place called Le Merle.
(2) At the hamlet, the track continues as a path. Cross the Ruisseau de Las Lagues and join thePR® above Las Lagues Hautes.
(3) Continue on theGR®36. ThePR®, which arrives from the left, will be the end of the Sentier des Merveilles, which you will take on the way back. Follow the red and white markings. Pass under high-voltage power lines in an open passage. Stay on the main track and reach the hamlet of Crémaussel.
(4) Cross the road and continue along the track opposite until it ends.
(5) At the fork, take the right-hand path. Explore the Rochers Décalés. Continue your exploration through the Désert and find the Roc de l'Oie.
(6) The red and white markings turn right to reach the Trois Fromages. Continue to the hamlet of Ricard.
Yellow markings
(7) As soon as you enter the hamlet, turn left immediately towards the south. Cross a stream and continue for a few metres.
(8) Go back and forth to the right to see the Chapeau du Curé.
(9) Retrace your steps.
(8) Continue to the right and end up on a road. Follow it to the left, then turn right at the T-junction. Walk to the picnic area at the Croix de Beyriès.
(10) Retrace your steps a little and veer right. Arrive at La Safranière and go around it on the left.
(11) The trail resumes, with its yellow markings, at the exit of the hamlet.
(12) At the fork, about 1.8 km after La Safranière, continue right downhill, pass under the power lines and follow the path to Las Lagues Hautes, where you will rejoin theGR®36.

(3) Turn right. Retrace your steps to return to the Lac du Merle car park (S/E).
