Park in the car park at Place de la Mairie.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, set off to the left. Head straight up the Rue du Puech on the left. At the first bend, turn right. At the end of the tarmac road, continue along the grassy path opposite. When you reach the road (D3), cross it very carefully to join the wide track opposite. Walk along the vineyards. At Rausse Basse, leave the track which ends at this farm and continue straight on through the grass, keeping to the left of a hedge. Pass through a copse and approach the Ruisseau de la Rauze.
(1) When you reach the wide white track, turn right. At the next two forks in the road, take the right-hand branch each time. You’ll reach a 90° bend.
(2) Leave this white track and continue along the dirt track ahead. Follow the yellow markings in place; the IGN map is incorrect at this point. After a 90° bend to the left, walk for 800m until you rejoin the D3.
(3) Cross the departmental road very carefully and head towards Le Pouget. At the bend before the farm of the same name (which you’ll leave on your left), turn off onto the path on the right, going round a hundred-year-old oak tree. You’ll reach a crossroads 100 metres on.
(4) At this junction, a local sign offers two options. Choose to continue left onto the Sentier des Coteaux. You’ll reach another junction after 150 metres.
(5) Start of the second circular loop. Continue straight on towards Lincarque. The wide grassy path crosses the Ruisseau de Pré-Long; ignore the side paths branching off to the left, and reach the D1.
(6) At the D-road, take a short detour to the left to visit Lincarque Church. Walk along the road, taking great care,
(7) After your visit, retrace your steps. At the Fork in the road, turn left towards the Mas de Caussé and walk through it.
(8) As you leave the estate, head towards the vineyard overlooking the road on your left. Walk alongside a row of trees on your right-hand side, and you’ll end up on the Route de la Couliche.
(9) At the T-junction, turn right towards La Couliche. This is a naturist centre in Albi. Walk around the entire complex. Follow the wide track until you reach a local road. At the road, turn right and walk for 200 metres.
(10) Just before the small bridge over a stream, turn right onto the dirt and grass track. Follow the yellow markings. The dirt track, which is of moderate width at first, widens in the open section. The bell tower of Cestayrols can be seen in the distance to the left. rejoin the Route d’Albi (D1).
(11) Cross the departmental road very carefully and head up the path opposite. The IGN map is inaccurate halfway up the hill. rejoin the start of the second circular loop.
(5) Turn left to reach the junction with the ‘Pays’ sign indicating two possible routes, which you passed on the way out.
(4) Turn left and follow the path back towards the village and the Théron farm. Walk through the farm.
Back on the Route d’Albi and at the entrance to Cestayrols, take a very careful first turn right then left to visit the village. Pass under the medieval archway on your right. Head back up and go past Saint-Michel Church. You’ll come out onto the road, opposite the car park at the Place de la Mairie (S/E).
