This short walk in the hills around Monestiès offers beautiful views of the village and the Ségala mountains. After crossing the Lauzeral forest, the trail winds along the old railway line.
Remember to take a torch to get through the unlit tunnel.

Via the Maux bridge in Saint-Jean-de-Marcel
After descending the rocky path that leads to the banks of the Cérou, follow the river to Pont de Maux. Climb back up to Bellerive, then take the road back to Saint-Jean-de-Marcel.

The Saint-Quintin woods via the GR® 36
The green lung of the Albigeois region, the Saint-Quintin Forest in Cagnac-les-Mines is a paradise for walkers.
Located between the Ruisseau de la Mouline stream and the old Albi-Cagnac railway line, this path is appreciated for its tranquillity and bucolic walks.

Circular Puy de Bar to Moulares
This circular is part of the Grand 8 route in Ségala Carmausin. You will walk through the Tarn countryside along pretty paths lined with low walls and wooden bridges, enjoying lovely views of the surrounding area.

The postman's round (short version)
This hike around Villeneuve-sur-Vère allows you to discover the beauty of the Causse Cordais landscapes. You will walk among white stones, cereal fields and vineyards near local producers: lentils, oil, brandies and Gaillac wines.

The industrial Tarn in Saint-Juéry
A circular route through the Saint-Juérienne countryside before approaching the Tarn, its steelworks and power stations. A prelude to a visit to the Saut du Tarn Museum, on a natural site that remains exceptional despite human development.
Path to the Château de Labastide-Vassals
This magnificent and surprisingly unexpected circuit takes place on the outskirts of Albi. Its undergrowth, meadows and small rollercoaster-like hills will quickly make you forget the 900 m of road at the start. The trail takes you down to the Lézert, passing through Puech Miral and Puech Mège, where you can discover the ruins of the Château de Labastide-Vassals and its mill. You will walk through a wild and invigorating landscape.

In the footsteps of the Cistercian monks around Castanet
In ancient times, the monks of Bonnecombe Abbey, near Rouergue, used the "Chemin des Moines" (Monks' Path) to transport various products they grew around a barn south of Castanet.
This path crosses a landscape of groves, vineyards and traditional buildings that make up the hillsides of Albi.

From Tanus to Las Planques
The Las Planques chapel is a remarkable example of southern Romanesque art.
It is nestled on a rocky promontory in the middle of the woods and majestically overlooks the Viaur Gorges.
This long loop is less difficult to access than the one from Pampelonne (published on Visorando).
Although classified as moderately difficult, you need to be reasonably fit to cover the distance and tackle the rollercoaster ride of the Viaur.

Circular of Castelnau-de-Lévis

On the right bank of the Tarn, Castelnau-de-Lévis is a walk between ridges, plateaus and hills with remarkable views of the surrounding valleys. A beautiful architectural heritage of half-timbered houses, dovecotes, crosses and a castle.
Las Planques, Short Version
A beautiful, small but challenging unpaved circuit for a half-day of physical exertion.
Although classified as moderately difficult, you will need to be reasonably fit to tackle the rollercoaster ride of the Viaur.
Woods, water, views and old stones are here for your viewing pleasure.
The two valleys of Cunac
This is a circular trail that winds east and west of Cunac, jumping from one stream to another.
Along the way, walkers will discover the meadows and valleys of the Albi plateaus.
Jouqueviel trail and the Viaur valley
Perched on its rocky outcrop, Jouqueviel Castle, from the Occitan "joc" meaning perch and "vielh" meaning old, lives up to its name. Its ruins remain a testament to feudal life, having valiantly resisted the ravages of time.
You will walk along the banks of the Viaur, which will take you to the 12th-century Chapelle des Infournats, and continue on through the pretty little hamlets of L'Ouradou and Lauretié.
Follow the signs for "sentiers de Lauretié L'ouradou".
The peaceful Tarn from Longouyrou to Pécotte
A hike along a bend in the Tarn, taking the tourist route which is very quiet but not suitable for hikers who dislike tarmac. Passes by a viewpoint, the hamlet of Pécotte where an old ferry is on display, a chapel and an old fortified house.
From the Vicasse bridge to Laguarde Viaur
Wild and secretive, the Viaur valley reveals its charms only to the most curious. The Viaur flows peacefully, surrounded by deep gorges and dotted with numerous mills and swimming areas.

A short, unpretentious walk, just to get some fresh air.This trail will take you through a landscape of valleys and small hills planted with vines.Along the way, you'll also find some lovely surprises in the form of small rural heritage sites dotted around the landscape, such as dovecotes and wash houses.

Short circular around Marsal
This short route is ideal for getting back into shape. It is easy and runs alongside the Tarn for long enough to allow for a bit of effort at the end of the route, in the middle of the woods.
The short version of the Méridienne trail
Hike in the Ségala Tarnais, which offers a variety of agricultural and forest landscapes on a schistose subsoil deeply carved by numerous streams and rivers that flow into the Tarn.
This route descends towards the Tarn valley, which you follow for a while before returning to the plateau via the right bank of the Aygou.

From Bellegarde to Les Avalats
A lovely circular route close to Albi, which takes you to Les Avalats with beautiful views of the Tarn valley. Wild paths through the woods alternate with meadows and vineyards.
Marsal Grand Circular
This hike allows you to discover the Tarn valley between Albi and Ambialet. You will walk from the plateaus to the banks of the Tarn, discovering pretty villages and the hamlet of Nicolaï Greschny.
Towards the banks of the Viaur and Lagarde Viaur from Saint-André-de-Najac
Starting from the village of Saint-André de Najac, passing through woods, meadows and hamlets, you will discover the banks of the Viaur on a pleasant loop to the village of Lagarde Viaur, which is well worth a visit.
