Route around Saint-Marcel-l'Éclairé
This circular route of almost 5 km allows you to discover the heights of Saint-Marcel-l'Éclairé and enjoy the view over the entire valley. The paths at the edge of the forest are very pleasant.
Circular Ponts Tarrets starting from Sarcey
Depart from Sarcey opposite the church, taking the Voie du Tacot to Ponts Tarrets, then head towards Le Breuil to return to Sarcey. A very pleasant and easy walk.
The Brou departmental forest
This is a large loop offering several views of the Lyon area and, on a clear day, even Mont Blanc and the Alps. You will also discover the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées (Oingt, Le Bois d'Oingt, Moirée, etc.) and part of the Tarare Mountains. No major difficulties to expect, the route passes along forest tracks, trails and a small section of tarmac (D629, very little traffic).

From Vieux Ternand to the chapel of Ronzière
This route allows you to discover Old Ternand, a superb medieval fortified village perched on a peak. Halfway along the route, you can admire the Ronzière chapel and the adjoining property before passing by a pond with water lilies. This route can complement the very interesting circular Heritage Loop through Ternand, Saint-Paule and Saint-Laurent d'Oingt. Starting from Old Ternand allows you to visit it at your leisure after the hike. You can spot this rocky peak in the distance if you go on other hikes in the area.
Brou Forest in Ternand
This loop, starting from the old village of Ternand, winds its way through the vineyards of the Beaujolais region and the deep Brou forest.
The circuit begins with a visit to the pretty medieval village of Ternand.
The route follows small roads and easy paths and offers beautiful views of the surrounding Beaujolais mountains, from Létra to Oingt.
Route of crosses starting from Ancy
A circular route starting from Ancy, marked with crosses, rolling hills and views of the Beaujolais and Lyonnais mountains, alternating between balcony paths and shaded forest trails. Some tarmac sections, visit to a cheese producer. Picnic area available in a peaceful spot. Option to climb to the summit of Mont Popey at the end of the route.
Crêt d'Arjoux from Ancy
The region has prehistoric and ancient remains, particularly from the Gallo-Roman period. Two temples are said to have existed, one on the Arjoux mountain and the other, dedicated to Jupiter, near the Mas Saint-Jean.
Silver mines were worked nearby in the 15th century.
Circuit around Ancy via the ridges to the north-east of the Monts du Lyonnais
Beautiful 360° view at Mont Popey on the northern edge of the Monts du Lyonnais with, as a bonus in good weather, a breathtaking view to the east of the Monts d'Or, the Alps and Mont Blanc.

The climb up Mont Popey and the descent to Mas Saint-Jean are a little steep, but take your time!
Heritage circular through Ternand, Sainte-Paule and Saint-Laurent d'Oingt
This hike allows you to see and visit the Pierres Dorées heritage sites in the villages of Ternand, Sainte-Paule and Saint-Laurent-d'Oingt. The medieval part of Ternand is not included in this hike.
Crêt Courrier and Rebaisselet Stream
The main attraction of this hike is the long path that follows the Ruisseau de Rebaisselet stream for 5 km. The first part climbs through vineyards and small woods, then the path plunges into the Ruisseau de Rebaisselet valley. Yves Duteil's song will come to mind and stay with you, as there are many small wooden bridges to cross from one bank to the other. This is a little-used route with the option of extending it to the Col du Joncin.

A short, gentle walk along the valley floor in the heart of the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées, with several views of the Monts du Lyonnais and the Monts Popey and Arjoux.

Circular Bully and Pierres Dorées starting from the Agamy Wine Cellar
Departure from the Agamy Cooperative Winery for a walk along the trails of five communes: Bully, Sarcey, Le Breuil, Chessy and Saint-Germain-sur-Arbresle. We are in the Pierres Dorées region of Beaujolais, with its hamlets such as Apinost and its wash house, the village with its school, castle, town hall and church. Continue to the hamlet of Montagny, the Crêt de Montgiron with its vineyards and, finally, the magnificent hamlet of Glay with its beautiful golden stones from the nearby quarries (which can be visited).
Loop starting from Joux
I recommend this hike when nature is waking up in mid-April, to enjoy the green meadows and bright yellow dandelions. There are unobstructed views over much of the route. The ridge offers beautiful views of the Loire and Rhône departments. Picnics by the pond are very enjoyable and peaceful. The return trail near the river (Turdine) is very wild and quiet.

This circuit is a microcosm of everything that makes the Pierres Dorées region of the Beaujolais so rich and charming: some of the most beautiful villages (Bagnols, Moiré), churches and chapels, crosses and castles, wash houses and splendid panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, vineyards and forests.

Hilly landscapes and unspoilt nature in the heart of the Pierres Dorées
Starting from Bagnol, you’ll traverse the slopes to enjoy a succession of breathtaking views of the varied landscapes of the Pierres Dorées region. This hike is ideal for those seeking nature and a sense of wonder through relaxing panoramic views. The difficulty is rated as moderate to slightly difficult, given the numerous ascents and descents.

A short trip to the Monts du Lyonnais from Savigny, above Sain-Bel. A very beautiful walk through orchards with magnificent views of the Turdine, Azergues, Saône and Brévenne valleys and the surrounding mountains.
The Trésoncle Balconies circular loop starting from Savigny
A beautiful, long hike in the hills above Savigny, alternating between orchards, mountain pastures and wild countryside, with walkers, mountain bikers and paragliders all sharing the terrain harmoniously. The first, uphill section follows mainly the ridge line separating La Turdine from Le Trésocle to the paragliders’ launch site, whilst the second section is relatively flat as far as Le Crêt d’Arjoux. The third section consists mainly of the descent back to Savigny.The route takes you up to higher ground, offering magnificent views over the entire Ain plain, the Beaujolais region and, in fine weather, the Alpine range.Furthermore, you’ll discover an area that offers plenty of hiking opportunities.At the start or finish, you can also take the opportunity to visit the beautiful village of Savigny with its yellow-stone church or its dovecote, located at the starting point of the hike.
Circular route between Villecheneve and Violay via the Matagrin Tower
Violay is a town with over 1,200 inhabitants and many shops! In the first part of the hike, you will pass by the Matagrin Tower (which you can visit). You will then follow theGR®7to Violay, before returning by another route. Most of the route is through the woods.
Villechenève, La Rivière, Bois d'Azol circular loop, via the gardens of La Rivière
This walk, suitable for everyone, takes you through the hamlet of La Rivière with its imposing buildings, the Bois d’Azol with a slight incline, and offers views of the nearby Loire department from the Vilette area. On the way back, explore the gardens of La Rivière.
