Park in the Route de Theizé car park.
(S/E) When you leave the car park, turn left towards the church, then turn left onto Rue de la Gare (D19). Keep the Route de Jarnioux on your right and continue for about 50 metres.
(1) Turn right onto Chemin du Tacot, which will cross Montée de la Madone and Chemin de la Poudrière before arriving at Chemin de la Pénière.
(2) Cross this road and take the path opposite (Montée du Gamay) to reach the hamlet of Cosset. Cross the hamlet and turn right at the crossroads onto Chemin de Tous Vents. Once you reach the bend to the left, leave the road and take the small path on your right which leads to Voie du Tacot.
(3) Turn left and continue along Voie du Tacot until you see Jarnioux. Go over the viaduct.
(4) Go down Montée de la Creuse on the right, pass the old Sainte-Catherine Chapel on the left and come out in the centre of the village on Rue de l'Ombre.
(5) Cross carefully and take the small lane opposite, slightly to the left, which will take you to the foot of Jarnioux Castle (there are a few steps at the end of the lane). In front of the castle, continue the walk by turning left onto Rue du Château.
(6) Turn left onto Route de la Roseraie, then take the dirt track on the right. Cross Chemin de Montgon and continue straight ahead to Chemin de la Vachette. Turn right until you reach the four-way intersection.
(7) Turn right, then left a few dozen metres further on, onto the road that leads to the junction with Montée des Afforchets.
(8) Take the road opposite (Chemin du Bois Lafay), which climbs alongside a stone house and leads to the Route de Theizé (D19).
(9) Cross the road with caution and take the small path opposite, which will take you back to the Voie du Tacot. Follow the dirt track on the right, following the signs for the Voie du Tacot, and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
