A pleasant route for hiking, brisk walking, running and mountain biking. An easy urban route with plenty of tarmac roads and paths, even through the forest towards the end of the route. There is nothing in particular to see, apart from the Pierre d’État menhir (a large rock); it’s simply the pleasure of walking.

This route in Suisse Normande takes you through hills and the Orne valley, crossing streams and allowing you to admire beautiful green landscapes and stone buildings.

In the Grand-Bourgtheroulde area, in the Londe Forest near Bosc-Bénard-Commin, lies the locality known as the Étangs de la Terre à Pots. These are former quarries dug to extract clay, a clay of exceptional quality.

Starting from Quevillon, this route is located in the Roumare Forest, where you can admire pheasants, wild boars, roe deer and deer in the wild, crossing a path or forest road, and enjoy the sound of pheasants calling as you walk.

Neuf-Marché lies on the border between the “boutonnière du Pays de Bray” and the Epte valley. The Epte once marked the border between the Kingdom of France and the Duchy of Normandy. Neuf-Marché has benefited from this unique location, as evidenced today by the richness of its heritage.

This route, which follows paths through fields and woods, has very little tarmac. This lovely circular route in the Pays de Bray, featuring the climb up the cuestas (steep, chalky slopes), offers magnificent panoramic views and takes you past active marl quarries.

A route for children, on country roads and through fields. I did this route with my three grandchildren, aged 3 and 8, for fun and to help them learn how to use a map.

Starting from Place du Puits de Corval, you can explore the ruins of the 15th-century fortified castle, listed as one of the department’s picturesque sites, on this peaceful route.

This pleasant circular loop starting from the church in Bouchevilliers, a village in the Eure department, takes you through the woods with a climb up the cuesta and offers up its rolling landscapes.

On the western plateau of the Pays de Bray, let’s explore the countryside shaped by the rhythms of nature and its agriculture on the edge of the Lyons Forest. In the 19th century, the ‘chasse-marée’ (tide-driven canal boat) passed through Bosc-Hyons.

This sunken lane, a refuge for animals typical of the Pays de Bray, winds its way through the rolling countryside of the commune of Avesnes-en-Bray, a land of springs and rich in footpaths, including the Chemin du Chasse-Marée, along which fresh fish was transported from Dieppe to Paris on horseback.

Before setting off on the route, take the time to enjoy the charm of this little Norman village and its Saint-Martin Church, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Étretat is a seaside resort and tourist town located along the English Channel, on the Alabaster Coast, near the Seine estuary. It is known for its cliffs and famous three arches.

Exploring Neufchâtel-en-Bray and its rich history, a stroll through the ‘heart of Neufchâtel’, past and present, as well as through the surrounding countryside. During this walk through the town, I learnt about its history thanks to information boards placed near places of interest.

This route takes us along the Seine, where we walk alongside the Marais de l’Angle, with a view of the Pont de Brotonne. We then head up into the Brotonne Forest to walk along its forest tracks.

A pleasant route through the Cauchois countryside, taking in the Vivier de Valmont, a remarkable site home to exceptional flora and fauna.

A hike that’s half urban, half woodland. A pleasant route that climbs through the woods below the neighbourhoods of La Grand-Mare, Les Sapins and Le Châtelet in Bihorel. The descent takes you via La Petite Bouverie and Le Longpaon de Darnétal, mainly through the woods.

A walk rich in heritage, on the border between Normandy and the French Vexin. The route alternates between fields, woods and hills, hopping over the River Epte. This lovely circular route ends with a visit to the former Notre-Dame-du-Trésor Abbey (now private,used for receptions).

Hike starting from Offranville, passing through the Bois de la Londe. At Le Hamelet (in the commune of Saint-Aubin-sur-Scie), there is a short, physically demanding climb up the Chemin des Jonquilles to reach the Canadian military cemetery in Dieppe in the hamlet of Les Vertus. Then descend towards Petit-Appeville, across fields via Les Bruyères, with lovely views of the Scie valley. Follow the greenway at Hautot-sur-Mer to Pourville-sur-Mer and its beach. The return journey is via the Bois d'Hautot and the greenway to Offranville. In Offranville, if you still have some energy left, visit the William Farcy floral park.

The route mainly consists of walking on tarmac, with a short section in the Bois des Loges. From the car park at the start, there is a view of the Château de Maniquerville (now a hotel). At the beginning of the route, visit the small but charming Église Saint-Martin de Maniquerville. In Gerville, the Church of Saint-Michel is closed and cannot be visited. The Church of Notre-Dame in Les Loges is also worth a visit, as is the old "Les Loges/Vaucottes-sur-Mer" railway station, which houses old carriages and locomotives.

Discover the Moulin de Pierre in Hauville, open to visitors every Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. In the village, the Church of Saint-Paër or Saint-Paterne is open to the public. A fairly pleasant route, with a little tarmac at the start and end. The route is mainly in the forest, with one fairly steep hill and two others that are much gentler.

The route passes through large forest avenues, dirt roads, gravel paths and grassy paths, and runs alongside the Roumare Animal Park for a few metres.Val de la Haye is a charming little village with a strong commitment to nature. There is a heritage trail called "Escale au Val de la Haye", which allows you to discover the history, architecture and heritage of the village.

There is nothing special to discover on this short route, just a breath of fresh air. Pass through the fields on the Franquevillais plateau, descend to the Lyons-la-Forêt road via the Sente des Hauts Bœufs to reach the village of Épinay. Then, climb up the path at the edge of the Bois des Chartreux towards Le Faulx, in the commune of Franqueville-Saint-Pierre.

Autumn hike in a forest environment, mainly consisting of large avenues called forest roads. The avenues and paths are covered with a carpet of russet, ochre and golden leaves. The air is cooler, ideal for walking, filled with the smells of damp earth, mushrooms and wood.

Circular loop in the Bord-Louviers forest via the old Route d'Elbeuf. This is a season when the forest seems both alive and peaceful, with animals bustling about before winter, mushrooms sprouting from the ground and trees losing their leaves.

Between rolling landscapes, archaeological remains and ancient sites linked to the textile industry, the route offers a unique immersion, where nature and heritage meet. Ideal for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
