Description of the walk

Parking and departure from the Quai de Verdun car park in Pont-de-l'Arche.

(S/E) Stand facing the river, the Eure, and turn right onto the Voie Verte de la Seine à l'Eure. Follow it for about 1300 m until you reach the car park opposite the Auberge de la Pomme, leave the Voie Verte and join the road.

(1) Turn right onto Rue du Monte au Ciel, go straight across the junction and continue straight ahead. Pass the cemetery and the Route Impériale on your left.

(2) Continue straight ahead until you reach the roundabout. Cross the D77 and continue straight ahead on Route Forestière des Damps for approximately 2,100 metres.

(3) Turn left onto Route Froestière des Vauloines and continue for 1,200 metres.

(4) Turn left after the forest barrier, ignore the small path on the right and continue straight ahead on the wide, uphill path until the next junction.

(5) Ignore Route Forestière de la Voie Blanche, which branches off to the left, and continue along the path opposite. Continue to the X crossroads, with an abandoned red brick building on your left.

(6) Continue straight ahead, north-west, on Route Impériale for about 600 m, ignoring a path on your right.

(7) Turn right onto a fairly wide path that turns left 250 m further on and then left again 250 m after that. Continue for about 1000 m on this straight path and turn onto the path on the left.

(8) At the T-junction that follows, take Route Impériale on the right, go through the tunnel under the motorway and continue to the forest barrier.

(2) After the barrier, turn right onto Rue des Écoles and, at the cemetery on your right, turn left onto Rue Neuve. At the T-junction, turn left onto Rue de la Croix Maurice and immediately turn right onto Rue des Merisiers. At the next T-junction, turn left onto Chemin des Haies and continue to the roundabout.

(9) Turn right onto Rue du Val. At the Voie Verte, turn left and return to the car park at the starting point (S/E).
