Circular in the Brotonne forest

Parking and departure: Aire des Bois de Fécamp, Route Forestière de la Mare à la Chèvre (marked by a sign) and Route Forestière des Bois de Fécamp (on the IGN map).

(S/E) Exit the car park and turn left until you reach the first intersection, D131.

(1) Cross it and continue straight ahead to the star-shaped crossroads. Take the path opposite and go down the slope (very slippery in wet weather) to the Route du Val du Long Brun at the bottom.

(2) Turn right and stay on this wide path until you reach a forest barrier at approximately 1,700 metres. Go through the barrier and continue for approximately 240 metres until you reach the first right turn (orange markings).

(3) Turn right and climb the hill, Chemin du Curée, until you reach the road at approximately 1,250 m, at the Carrefour Tanvet crossroads.

(4) Cross the road and continue straight ahead on Route au Loup until you reach the next crossroads.

(5) Turn right onto Cheminage de Vatteville and continue for about 400 metres. Turn left between plots 182 and 178 onto a fairly rough track and continue until you reach the road at about 780 metres.

(6) Take the rough path straight ahead for about 200 metres and turn right onto a rough and barely visible path. Continue in the same direction until you reach the road and the car park (S/E).

Point (5): after Cheminage de Vatteville, between plots 182 and 178, the path is quite rough, so watch your ankles.

Point (6): the path is very uneven and difficult to see until you reach the return point.
