The ‘Lost Farm’ route from Blainville-Crevon

Parking and starting point at the school car park directly opposite the Collegiate Church of Saint-Michel.

(S/E) Opposite the church, turn left onto Route de Saint-Germain-les-Essourts, until you reach the ‘dead end’ sign on your left.

(1) Turn left onto Rue du Beau Soleil and continue along the path that follows. Carry straight on until you reach the tarmac road at the hamlet of Houlmesnil.

(2) Turn right onto Route de Houlmesnil. Continue for approximately 430 metres until you reach the first junction.

(3) Ignore the ‘No Entry’ sign directly opposite and veer to the right. At the end of the road, carry on along the track opposite. Continue straight ahead, passing the water pumping station on your left, and carry on until you reach the junction of the D13 and D98.

(4) Cross carefully, carry on straight ahead, and enter the village of Crevon. Turn right at the second road, Chemin de la Braconne, passing the mill on your left.

(5) Cross the small bridge over the River Crevon and turn into the first lane on the left. Continue straight on until you reach the tarmac road, Route de la Forge, in the village of Catenay.

(6) Cross the D7 with care and carry on straight ahead along Rue Saint-Clair, with the town hall on your left.

(7) At the T-junction (with Catenay Church on the left), turn right onto Rue des Mares. Ignore Impasse des Charmilles; turn left at the electricity substation.

(8) Cross the D61 with care and continue straight ahead, towards Le Clos Réjoui, along Rue de l’Abreuvoir, for about 500 metres until you reach the first track on the right.

(9) Turn right and follow this track until you reach the tarmac road, Route de Buchy, at the entrance to the village of Blainville-Crevon. Turn left as you head down towards the village.

(10) Pass the castle ruins on your right and head towards the town hall square.

(11) Just past the town hall, turn right and then left. At the post office, turn right and continue on to the Collegiate Church (S/E).
