The Moulin de Pierre and the Brotonne Forest

Parking and departure from the Moulin de Pierre car park in Hauville.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, facing the road, turn right until you reach the first T-junction. Turn right onto Rue de la Bouillotte and continue until you reach the first left turn.

(1) Turn left onto Rue de la Mare Billon. At the T-junction, turn right onto Rue du Landin (D90) (watch out for traffic), and immediately turn left onto Rue de la Mare Ferrand. Ignore a turn-off on the right and continue to the first bend, which curves to the left.

(2) In the bend, leave the road, Rue des Bons, which branches off to the left, and continue along the grassy path opposite, which leads through the fields. Continue along this path until you reach the edge of the forest at the Y-junction. Ignore the path that branches off to the right and continue left on Route Forestière de la Mare aux Bœufs until you reach the T-junction 1.2 km away.

(3) Ignore the path on the right and the path opposite and turn left onto a downhill path until you reach the T-junction.

(4) Turn left onto Chemin du Val au Furet and take the first path on the right, beware of the very steep slope. At the top, at the X-junction, cross Route de Gros Houx and continue straight ahead. Continue to the first T-junction.

(5) Turn left, slightly uphill, until you reach the first turn-off on the right, at the foot of plot 460 (number indicated on a sign on a tree). Continue to the first turn-off on the left, ignore the steep slope downhill opposite and turn left until you reach the first T-junction.

(6) Turn left, the path climbs slightly until you reach a small quarry. Ignore the path that branches off to the left and continue straight ahead on the small uphill path until you reach the tarmac road.

(7) Go straight ahead to the stop sign, cross and continue straight ahead on Rue Adam. Continue straight ahead on this street until you reach the crossroads at the Church of Saint-Paër or Saint-Paterne de Hauville.

(8) Turn left onto Route du Landin, ignore the road on the right and continue on the D90 until you reach the end of the village, where you will come to a wide left-hand bend.

(9) Ignore this bend, cross the road and continue straight ahead on Rue de la Bouillotte. Then turn right at the first street, Rue du Moulin de Pierre, and head to the car park (S/E).
