The Bocasse and Grugny circular route from Clères

Parking and departure point: Avenue du Parc in Clères. Several parking spaces are available opposite the zoo.

(S/E) Opposite the park, turn right, pass the park entrance and continue to the first left turn opposite the market halls.

(1) Turn left onto Rue de l'Église. After 50 metres, you can visit the church by climbing the steps on the left, then retrace your steps to continue the route. Continue up Rue de l'Église until you reach the first turn-off on the right. Turn right until you reach the T-junction. Turn left onto Rue Louis Duthil, go through the tunnel, ignore the turn-off on the right and turn left onto Chemin du Mouchel, continuing until you reach the edge of the woods.

(2) Continue along the path opposite (please note that the woods on either side of the path are private property). At the first house on your left, ignore the turn-off on the left and continue straight ahead along the grassy path until you reach the tarmac road.

(3) Turn left onto Chemin de la Ferme and turn right 350 m further on onto the path between the houses. At the T-junction, turn right towards the church. Continue to the crossroads, turn right onto Route du Val de Clères and continue to the D53 Clères sign on the right.

(4) Take the no-entry road, Fond des Bois, on the left. At the end of this street, continue straight ahead along the grassy path down into the woods and continue to the road. Continue straight ahead along Route du Bocasse, pass the sign for the village of La Houssaye-Béranger to reach a T-junction.

(5) At the sign for the downed aviator, take the path on the right, Chemin de la Mare aux Loups, with the "No Entry" sign. Go through the turnstile barrier, follow this path, which narrows for a few metres where you have to hug the barbed wire, and continue to the road, Route de Clères.

(6) Continue straight ahead on Rue du Bosc Fol Enfant until you reach the T-junction. Turn right onto Route de la Joserie (D97) and continue to the next junction. Turn right onto Route de Dieppe (D3) and pass in front of the church.

(7) Immediately turn right onto Rue André Martin (D3B). Continue to the entrance of the Grugny departmental public facility (EHPAD). Turn left onto Rue des Écoles, a one-way street, and continue to the T-junction. Cross Route de Dieppe (D3), turn left to return to the previous junction.

(7) Continue straight ahead (D3), passing the church. Turn right immediately onto Chemin d'Ormesnil, pass under the railway line and turn right onto a path that can be quite muddy in wet weather. Continue until you reach the tarmac Impasse de la Chaumière and go to the crossroads.

(8) Turn right onto Côte du Mont Landrin. At the next intersection, turn right, still on Côte du Mont Landrin. Continue to the bottom of the hill and at the stop sign, take the D6 on the right. At the next roundabout, continue straight ahead to Clères Town Hall on Rue Édmond Spalikowski.

(9) Cross the road and turn right, keeping the river, the Clérette, on your right. Pass the market halls and continue to the zoo car park (S/E).
