Description of the walk

Parking and starting point: the car park at Mont-Cauvaire Town Hall, except on Fridays (market day).

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn left and, after the church, turn left onto Rue Placide Alexandre. Enter the courtyard of the Raimbourg Farm opposite the old butcher’s shop. Head towards the house opposite, turn left, then right, and make your way towards the small iron gates on your left.

(1) Turn right again to reach Chemin du Val au Roy, a T-junction. Turn left and then left again onto the first path leading downhill. At the bottom, turn right then left onto Chemin de la Pérelle and follow the tarmac.

(2) Cross the Clérette bridge and reach a T-junction. Head slightly left for about 290 m, taking great care ( busy road), until you reach the first turn-off on the right.

(3) Turn right, go under the railway bridge and immediately turn left onto a path open to pedestrians. When you reach the meadow, turn right and follow the field to the edge of the woods. Follow the path; at the fork, take the right-hand branch and follow it uphill until you reach the tarmac road, which you should follow to reach the T-junction. Turn left onto Route du Bocasse until you reach the first junction opposite the church.

(4) Turn right and then immediately left, passing between Anceaumeville Town Hall and the church. Turn left at the first road, Rue des Chatenières, and turn left again onto Chemin des Granges, entering the no-entry zone. At the end, at the sign marking a gas pipeline, turn right onto the grassy track and follow it until you reach the tarmac, Route du Chouquet.

(5) Head left and follow the road downhill until you reach the railway bridge. Go under the bridge to reach a crossroads, cross carefully and continue straight ahead onto Chemin de la Fontaine des Fresnes. Cross the beams over the Clérette stream and continue to the T-junction at the water intake.

(6) Turn left, climb this path to the edge of the woods and reach the T-junction with the Route du Mesnil. Turn left, follow the tarmac for approximately 920 m. Leave the road and take the path that runs behind the houses. Reach the small iron gates.

(1) Turn right, then left to return to the courtyard of Ferme Raimbourg. Follow the route back in the opposite direction to return to the town hall car park (S/E).
