Description of the walk

Parking and departure from the car park of the multi-purpose hall and church, Rue Henry De La Vaulx, in Bierville.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn left and follow the road for about 1000 m until you reach a small bridge over the road.

(1) Turn right onto the grassy path and follow it to the pumping station. Go past it and immediately turn left onto Rue de la Tour, continuing to the intersection at the hamlet of Vimont. First turn left then right, going up Rue du Four à Chaux until you reach the sign for Morgny-la-Pommeraye.

(2) Ignore the turn-off to the right (D90), continue straight ahead and immediately turn left towards Château de Mondétour. Pass in front of the château, continue straight ahead along the path through the fields, continue until you reach the road and turn left until you reach the crossroads.

(3) Continue straight ahead towards the hamlet of Crevon for about 280 metres and turn right onto Chemin de la Braconne. Cross two bridges over two branches of the Crevon river and continue along the path straight ahead, just before the right-hand bend. Follow this path to reach the village of Catenay, Route de la Forge (D7).

(4) Follow it to the left, pass in front of the tennis court and, after the grey half-timbered house, turn into the first path on the left. Continue straight ahead until you reach the road, Rue du Moulin, in the hamlet of Fontaine Châtel, opposite a pond with ducks. Take the road on the left to the next intersection, Route de Blainville (D98).

(5) First turn left then right, go up the slope, pass in front of the Domaine de Fontaine-Châtel and continue on the tarmac, Rue du Château, until you reach the T-junction. Turn left onto Route de Longuerue (D87) and immediately turn left, following the grassy path to the crossroads.

(6) At the route marker post, ignore the path opposite and turn right. Walk about 290 metres and turn left onto the first path. Go past the crossroads and continue straight ahead to rejoin the tarmac road (D213) at the T-junction. Turn right, then at the stop sign take Rue de l'Église (D90) on the left and continue to the next crossroads. Turn left and return to the car park (S/E).
